Which is £1600 sales a week. You’d expect at least that level of revenue in a consistent basis for a reputable builder/ roofer on materials alone, before labour etc.

Threshold needs increasing its been 85k since 2017, the way salaries have increased lately and the amount tradesmen charge per day it needs to be upped.

I’d prefer to deal with someone who is VAT registered, even if it’s marginal whether they should be or not. Otherwise they’re marking up on the Gross for all materials.
