I can understand a bit of r and r, get their heads back right then practise matches. Overs in the bowlers legs, batsmen get a bit more familiar with the pitch but this smacks of the jollyboys outingThey are going ahead with their pre-planned mid-series break to Noosa, leaving them with only 3 practise days. They have already had a mid-series break, 3 days off after Perth.
Read the room lads, then again if they cancelled it then McCullum might actually have to do some coaching.
Fail in Adelaide and the knives are going to be not only out, but firmly in, given how they have "prepared" again

Good question is who does the coaching? Batting wise, presumably McCullum and Trescothick -both fine attacking batsmen but both pretty one-dimensional.They are going ahead with their pre-planned mid-series break to Noosa, leaving them with only 3 practise days. McCullum waffles but has yet to recognise or admit that there's an issue.
Jimmy was the bowling coach but he appears to have been discarded.
Don't think anything is going to change either in approach or execution.
0-5, none going the full distance,Cricket Australia going to take a massive financial hit
But they’ve had 4 extra days off when they should have been involved in Test cricketI can understand a bit of r and
Haven't you heard? They trained too much ahead of the second test.I am not against this sort of thing but they have barely had a practise match and they have already had 4 days off across 2 tests. They need to do something different, like actually focus on some technical aspects or get players playing into some form.
As a golf pairingCould the selectors consider bringing in Sibley and Hameed
No,might make the tests last longer which would interfere with the golf schedule.
Carse? Is he injured? Atkinson and Archer should be dropped before Brydon.Unsuprisingly, they look undercooked. I think there needs to be a change at 3 though obviously there's more wrong than just Pope at 3. Replace him with Bethell, but I'd be tempted to play Stokes at 3. Tongue in for Carse.
i said a bit mind, ie 12/24 hours off to reset then train like fuck but it just seems they are on a lads holliday with cricket now and againYou’d hope they see what Australia have selected, accurate line and length bowlers, and pick Potts ……. even though he isn’t the bowler he was a year ago
