Let's face it, Scott is trying (badly) to give us a backstory of the xenomorph, but did any of us whilst watching Alien ever think, 'wow, I'd really love to know how this hostile killing machine originated?' Thought not. Prometheus and Covenant have both been horrible botch jobs that didn't even need to be made.
