Why should it?There comes a time when you either pay up or walk away. This should have been at least a week ago.
Said to you yesterday it would be surprising to sign both.Would be odd to go from chasing a genuine, experienced #9 to signing another work in progress who likes to drift wide and then not doing anything else.
I still think we'll get Mendy like, wouldn't have thought we'd want two loan players ahead of Mayenda.Said to you yesterday it would be surprising to sign both.
Maybe Isidor and a loan from the premier league
Mayenda did great at the weekend but that is a big ask of a 19 year old over a long season. Takes one injury and all the pressure is on him (or Rusyn if he stays)People saying we need to bring 2 strikers in but I'd be more than happy if we brought in the French lad, got Mayenda firing, and use the money that we would spend on another striker to give Jack Clarke a new improved contract.
i am suggesting we should be looking for a senior forward to complement them, whatever the case, I certainly don't want them to fail, however even if Hemir had scored 15 goals last season, we were short of goalscorers, so two strikers with experience coming in to support that, will help reach the objective which for the size of the club has to be, a return to the premier league. If that's the case I don't see the problem. It's like you are wanting the lads already in the building to fail.
I'd be over the moon if Rusyn and Mayenda score 20 goals between them. I'd trade that for signing Mendy
I've seen that fillum. The ending is shit.Typical Safc
Maybe Chelsea could have a player we can loan
Well isn't it an option to buy though?I still think we'll get Mendy like, wouldn't have thought we'd want two loan players ahead of Mayenda.
I don't care if its an experienced striker (want ever that is) or a young lad who scores the goals.i am suggesting we should be looking for a senior forward to complement them, whatever the case, I certainly don't want them to fail, however even if Hemir had scored 15 goals last season, we were short of goalscorers, so two strikers with experience coming in to support that, will help reach the objective which for the size of the club has to be, a return to the premier league.
Thank the lord, senseRelying on a lad (Isidor) who hasn’t been a regular starter for 2 seasons and a 19 year old kid who before Sunday had 1 goal in his senior career and a Ukrainian lad who scored twice last season, is risky in the extreme.
Really hope there’s more than those 3 to get the goals from up top we need to sustain a promotion push.
Whatever the equation, removing Clarke doesn’t bear thinking about.
I reckon it was the minute he threw his toys. That will have spooked both Speakman and KLDThere comes a time when you either pay up or walk away. This should have been at least a week ago.
An experienced striker is someone who has a good record of scoring goals, you know like when we got Darren Bent from Spurs.I don't care if its an experienced striker (want ever that is) or a young lad who scores the goals.
They will have told him to throw toys I reckonI reckon it was the minute he threw his toys. That will have spooked both Speakman and KLD
WelI I know what you're saying but if we still have Clarke then there's a great chance we'll still score goals. If Clarke's replacement is Mundle then that's a complete unknown quantity as to whether he'll contribute in the same way.Mayenda did great at the weekend but that is a big ask of a 19 year old over a long season. Takes one injury and all the pressure is on him (or Rusyn if he stays)
Only took us over a month to realise it as well.Isn't he a 30 year old striker from the french second division? If they want 5 million I wouldn't pay it either.
