So you're saying we should sign our second choice striker and forget about our first for the sake of potentially a couple of weeks?
Have we got a 2nd choice?

Double edged sword as he would then be the firepower we need according to SpeakmanEven if he came in now, it’s clearly Mayenda on Saturday. Baptism of fire for the kid, hope he bangs one in, will do wonders for his confidence
I think the expectation point is important. There is no divine right however when we are outside the top division I think we should strain every sinew to get back in it. That’s not our current strategy. In fact it’s probably impossible as in stands because of how we operate . That’s why there is a disconnect for a lot of peopleGreat post mate. Could be some truth in that. My lad is 16 and he doesn't 'get' how big we really are as he has mainly seen us in championship and league 1. I keep saying we are massive. So, could be alot of truth in your post mate. I just think to put it simply the owner doesn't realise how big a club we are and the potential and the 'model' is a myth to me mate...it just means doing it on the cheap but say it's a 'model'.
The big failure was Burstow, PL loans like Stansfield, Archer, Cannon, Simms and even Rhian Brewster were successful. If he'd been of that standard we could have got away with mixing in the others.
We don’t and won’t play with a DCM. I’m not sure why the club is getting bashed over this and labelled as mismanaged.
A loan during which he played a grand total of 106 minutes. He’s scored 1 goal in his senior career. Expecting him to lead the line away at Cardiff is gross mismanagement from Speakman.Wouldn't say it's a baptism of fire for him. He's had 12 months and a loan now, so it's an opportunity to stake his claim.. also hope he bangs one in and gets MOTM
I seen a stat earlier about the mess hull are in.Hull have taken over £30m in sales and spent £5m, how is that showing ambition?
I know RLB wants to play Jobe on the left side of a midfield 3, but I'd be using him upfront and putting either Rigg or Adil in the team.
2nd half bring Mayenda off the bench to go at a (hopefully) tired defence. I'd happily be wrong, but I just don't think he's ready to be starting games at the moment.
According to you? I’m sure if the club wanted to play with a CDM we’d have one. But it’s clear we don’t and won’t. It’ll bid a midfield 3 out of Jobe, Browne, Rigg, Ekwah, Adil and NeilBecause it’s dumb.
I don’t think Adil fits the system of three 8s. It’s questionable whether Rigg does so early in his career. I think he possibly does, but he could also be more like Foden, who doesn’t. Need to see more of him. Seen enough of Adil.
Deal , i'm thick skinned. That’s alright. I can take credit if we sign him and you can take the criticism if we don’t.![]()
So then we have Rigg, Ekwah, Bellingham and currently Embleton who can all play there.Aye because nobody loses form or gets Injured like.![]()
Don't agree about Burstow . He was WORSE than that FFs!Correct. Burstow was atrocious.
Because it’s dumb.
Bang on mate.I think the expectation point is important. There is no divine right however when we are outside the top division I think we should strain every sinew to get back in it. This would be the Evans that played most of last seasonNot having a replacement for Evans going into last season was definitely a failure though. Dack was kind of an Evans substitute but barely played and was mostly ineffective. I see addition of Browne as a definite improvement on last season. If the transfer window closes and there is no striker you have a point about incompetence but at the moment I will give them a little bit of slack. The Will Still episode and whole Head Coach recruitment process was very poor, hopefully we have a competent coach in place now but he is going to need support.
Rigg, Bellingham and Embleton are not DCMs.So then we have Rigg, Ekwah, Bellingham and currently Embleton who can all play there.
All of our midfield players have been tried as the dcm, all have struggledRigg, Bellingham and Embleton are not DCMs.
Also wouldn't be surprised to see Ekwah and Embleton leave.
Dan Neil has done a decent job but he's better further forward. All of our midfield players have been tried as the dcm, all have struggled
