Striker
Aren’t Caen in financial ruin and need to sell him?
They best be careful making these multi million demands.

I'd rather we realised that strikers cost money. We baulk at paying 3/4 million for a striker because he is older than 29.So spunk away 1 million on a loan player that is only going to get used if wecan't beat a teams press, in a league where most teams sit back against us? Do you actually think about what you're saying or just like to have a whinge for the sake of it
Again would you rather we just succumb to the demands of other clubs and pay over the odds just to 'get the deal done'?
He caused a lot of bother for teams did Gelhardt, but it did signal the start of the models strange fascination with not scoring “strikers”.Agree. It was a CB crisis that did us in the end. With Batth and Ballard in that team we’d have held on in the second leg. IMO of course, well obviously never know
Gelhardt was a decent non scoring striker for usHe linked up well with Clarke, Diallo and Roberts
At the time we were only a couple of points away from the play offs
We chased Moore for the whole of the January window. We were told he was our number 1 target
What happened
You tell us as I’ve not seen any signed since.I'd rather we realised that strikers cost money. We baulk at paying 3/4 million for a striker because he is older than 29.
But we won't pay 10 million for young strikers like a Simms or a Stansfield.
The truth is we want a striker dirt cheap and it's not going to happen. How many Burstows and Hemirs are we going to bring in before the penny drops.
So Would I, I don't think the intention was to buy strikers last year who weren't very good...I’d rather it took us less than 2 years to buy a serviceable striker
Do we or trying to get the best possible deal for the club and not just pay what the selling club wants. We won't pay £10m a young striker because we don't have £10m to blow on one player, where do you think this money comes from?I'd rather we realised that strikers cost money. Mayenda Rustyn . We can buy rubbish strikers for a couple of million. We are good at thatYou tell us as I’ve not seen any signed since.
Not like the glory days of getting Will Grigg to sign.I'd rather we realised that strikers cost money. We baulk at paying 3/4 million for a striker because he is older than 29.

Bought at the same time.Mayenda Rustyn . We can buy rubbish strikers for a couple of million. We are good at that
Or maybe we can get the same striker they are demanding 3/4 million for, for 1/2 million by using our advantageous bartering position as the player has publicly said he wants to be here. It's nothing to do with not wanting to pay that amount of money but we don't see value in that anmount and can get a better deal with him.I'd rather we realised that strikers cost money. Aye agree - we need another Stewart level signing - easier said than done unfortunately.Mayenda Rustyn . We can buy rubbish strikers for a couple of million. We are good at that
We needed a fit centre back more than we needed a striker in that 2nd leg!Not a chance.
We lost the play off semi through being naive and weaker than Luton bully tactics. Not because we didn’t have a striker.
Burnley and Sheffield were always Automatics.

Yes I have and you have to be prepared to walk away because you have viable alternatives. Not sure we are in a position to do thatOr maybe we can get the same striker they are demanding 3/4 million for, for 1/2 million by using our advantageous bartering position as the player has publicly said he wants to be here. Have you never negotiated for something ever?
So on one hand you want us to do as they say and pay 3/4 million for him but then we need to be prepared to walk away?Yes I have and you have to be prepared to walk away . Not sure we are in a position to do that
Standard for this message board tbf.I like how no one has any idea of the finances involved, yet have decided it’s done based on nothing else than pure imagination.

Think people assume it's done due to Roker report yesterday and Di Canio's Knees post, nobody has a clue how much we've paid/offered but the idea it's done isn't based on imgainationI like how no one has any idea of the finances involved, yet have decided it’s done based on nothing else than pure imagination.
