I'm asking do you go to the games a simple yes or no will doEnlighten me.
Dick in.Good job it appears sorted as that Cressida Dick is now available
You sure, comes across as on marra. He’s not a mag.
The pressure will definitely be on but this would have been the case with any manager we appointed. I know AN doesn’t exactly get people exited but I think he can do a job here. I suppose we’ll all just have to wait, see and go into the end of the season with ne fingernails. We will lose 12 players during the summer - 5 loans and 7 out of contract. If season ticket sales go badly due to this appointment and us not going up yet again - then Neil will probably be sold to balance the books. It'll be bargain basement time likely as not as I doubt The Chuckle Brothers will put any money in.
We are right on the edge here IMHO. We must go up or the place could go up!! Pressure is enormous on Neil right from the off.
Is that all it’s been?Been a long two weeks for everyone
Slightly new and slightly thickRead the lads ID man or are you new anarl?
MBH ?
The response of fans/media of his old clubs, many in shock he's dropped to League One.
At Hamilton, he won promotion in his first season to the SPL and then had a strong start before Norwich took him.
Took a Norwich side (that weren't particularly doing too well) in the Championship and took them up to the Prem.
Considering he didn't spend too much in the Premier League, he didn't come rock bottom (would have been 18th but mags won Spurs 5-0 iirc on final day).
Signed (and possibly identified) players like James Maddison, Ben Godfrey, Pritchard, all of which were sold for large profits, 2 are england internationals.
Lost two of Norwich's best players the following season in Redmond and Brady, and ultimately struggled to push for automatics.
At Preston he worked on a very limited budget, and focused on signing young players.
Despite being on a limited budget, Preston finished 7th, 14th, 9th and 13th in the league under him.
Again, I ask somebody to offer me a manager that is better?
The assertion being, if somebody doesn’t go, is what?I'm asking do you go to the games a simple yes or no will do
We had aBC fan come on and he had LJ down to a tee , before he had got thru the door here, it's always interesting to hear fans of a managers previous club's perspective.why does that matter? PNE are not SAFC and the expectation at Preston is nil compared to sunderland. It'll be interesting too see for how long he can cope with the goldfish bowl up here - especially with the fan base split about him.
Agree with this….get behind Neil and the team….if you ar3 a Sunderland supporter. The pressure will definitely be on but this would have been the case with any manager we appointed. You’ll be top lad on here by Xmas. We’re all way thicker than that.Slightly new and slightly thick
Potter? He finished 10th with Swansea in the championship mind. Shite! You make some good points on youth development, which make sense given our strategy.
But, Norwich was 7 years ago, and despite his great job at PNE he was never poached by a larger club and loyalty kept him in a job until he was sacked? I don’t buy it.
We could’ve gone for much worse, I give you that, but I’m need of convincing he’s the man to lead us back to the PL.
Who is, great question, had you heard much of Potter until he came back to England? I was hoping we’d use our “data driven approach” to unearth someone who was building up to a big job.
I'm not so sure. I suspect Keane could have lost the first three games in charge without tarnish but anyone else wouldn't get the same leeway. The pressure will definitely be on but this would have been the case with any manager we appointed. I know AN doesn’t exactly get people exited but I think he can do a job here. I suppose we’ll all just have to wait, see and go into the end of the season with ne fingernails.

@harryCLSsafc stop embarrassing me on here son we've talked about this, I'm the SMB's premier poster man. I'm going to tell yer mam about this mind.
Spot on.If Neil had been appointed the day after Johnson was sacked the atmosphere around the club would have been acceptable.
The onwership and leadership have created a toxic atmosphere with the way they have behaved over the past couple of weeks.
Speakman needs to go tonight and if KLD cant or wont invest he needs to put the club up for sale. If not we will become a Portsmouth or worse.
Im sick of hearing 'sustainability'. The club has infastructure that cant be sustained in Div 3. We either have owners who can invest to get out of this horrible league or they need to sell up, The club is dieing by a thousand cuts.
