Alex Neil - New head coach confirmed

He’s had 5 seasons in the Champsionship, finished 3rd once and outside of the play offs 4 times, and has been sacked twice.

Statistically he’s more likely to not get us promoted. Which was my original point, he’s 100 miles away from a guaranteed promotion candidate.

If we done go up then we start all over again with a hunt for a manager, yet again.
It’s irrelevant what he did in the Championship…we’re not in the Championship and these are not the same players. He will be judged on the style of play and results.

I was happy with Roy Keane, the club needs a massive jolt of high standards

Very worrying that he’s said no, either the club have scrimped on the contract or even more worryingly haven’t been able to match his ambition

Momentum is huge in sport and we don’t have any

So just hearsay then, and rather than join an ex premier league club with promotion credentials he chose to stay floating mid-table until he was sacked…

I’m not convinced. But I’m open to be convinced.
He was approached by both. Was rumoured to be close to have signed with West Brom just before our game with them but then he signed a 3 year contract a day or so later. A young settled family with job security helped his decision plus some false promises on the transfer budget which led to his downfall.

Yea that would help us achieve promotion
Or you could have a strategy, given all they wibble about is the structure of just parachuting a head coach in within hours of shipping the old one out.

If we don’t get promoted, the manager, whoever they are, will not hold the blame. I could care less if they get promoted tbh, they won’t go anywhere with the likes of Methven floating about.

Both over 7 years ago and one in a different country at a far lower standard.

Since his 3rd place at Norwich he’s been relegated and not made even the playoffs each season and he’s been sacked twice.

Agree on the Parkinson and Grayson points.
If you listen to Preston fans though they think he was doing the job with his hands tied behind his back.
