The good old managerial merry-go-round.
Promoted to the PL, relegated, then sacked.
Didn't even make the Playoffs at Preston, sacked 16th in the league.
Helped his mate out at Crewe.
Seems like he's on an upward curve...
Just what we don't need, an early bounce manager who runs out of ideas in months with a record of consistent failure.

Not sure why any manager would accept a 6 month deal. Shows how little confidence the board have in Neil by only offering him that. Thought we wanted continuity and long-term thinking?

I wanted Keane and I’m disappointed he isn’t here but before Keane was a possibility I would have taken Neil.

He might not be rock and roll but it’s in all our interests that he does well.

Good luck Alex!!
This all day long….the whole Roy thing muddied the water and its a shame we didnt get him…but i am more than ok with Alex Neil

I was yes because he is a motivational character, whom I think, could motivate the squad, whereas this bloke is as full as dishwater.
it's not true that he has done nothing in a decade. He was assistant at international level and both at Forest and coaching at Villa. His pundit role means he has maintained contacts and is involved with the game.
Neil? Sacked at every job he has had after poor results and was helping out at Crewe! A real go getter!!!
Why aren’t other clubs in for him only now on here there’s a clamour because of over a decade ago.

It’s embarrassing tbh

Btw Keane has been sacked at every job he’s had
