Alex Neil - New head coach confirmed

He's so far ahead of Parkinson in every way it's untrue mate.

Probably, just still trying to find my dummy because I wanted Keane.

In reality, I'd rather we'd have gone the route MK Don's and Blackpool have, someone up and coming - different. My head though knows that with our situation we can't afford to do that now. Had to be someone experienced who knows what they're doing to try and get us up.

All the best to him.

He wins his first 2/3 games then the mood on here would sharp change.
Not really.
We have more or less no chance of top 2.
The best we can hope for is the lottery of the play offs, and winning the next 5 games wouldn't change that.

The good old managerial merry-go-round.
Promoted to the PL, relegated, then sacked.
Didn't even make the Playoffs at Preston, sacked 16th in the league.
Helped his mate out at Crewe.
Seems like he's on an upward curve...
Relegated with Norwich who will not invest once promoted, they’re happy to take the money for finishing last take relegation and get promoted again and once again trouser the money. Not a bad model for a small club like them. It wasn’t down to Alex Neil that’s for sure.

Why aren’t other clubs in for him only now on here there’s a clamour because of over a decade ago

It’s embarrassing tbh
It's not to me. Keane has a wealth of experience s that I believe he has learned from. I can't answer for other clubs but, like us, they just take managers from the none achieving " safe" pool, and are perhaps scared of a motivational character manager.

I would be very pleased with this appointment. He was my choice in the poll. He plays good footy, is seen as tactically astute, has a backbone, has got teams promoted in the past. With out resorting to slagging off the owners with the usual amateurs/spreadsheet/Madrox stuff can anyone think of any logic to offering him a 3 month deal? It would a bizarre decision. I could understand that with Keane if he wanted to get a feel for the struture or Warnock but for Neil I just can't see any logic. Any ideas?

Btw Keane has been sacked at every job he’s had
Aye and it's an abject 14 years since anybody moved us up a league so why wouldn't he fit the bill.

The "philosophy" is an absolute mess and Roy specialises in organisation and high standards.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣hope bed wetters are happy. What a joke this club is, speakman and the rest can go and do one. He will fail at this club because he like Johnson won't have time by the fans. Goodluck Alex you will need it, won't be getting anymore of my money. Another yes man for the clueless owners
He was sacked at Norwich for NOT being a yes man. Fergie backed him in it shortly afterwards.

Yep, half a season after we’ve already fucked up any chance of automatic, so he cannot really do anything in this time here to even judge him on. Anything that happens now this season isn’t his fault, it’s the mess LJ and the owners left behind them, but he’ll get all the stick for that too
Work with a North end fan and he wanted him out long before he was sacked...clueless substations hm ring any bells, no plan b if other team was winning hm ring any bells..let's see if the bedwetters think so

Which is canny sad considering if it was Roy Keane who did it this place would be in awe of him

Maybe read the echo article. Element of running out of steam but sounds alright. Couldn’t help thinking he just sounds like LJ though so baffled to what’s gone on to need such a catastrophic change

Read a norwich journo saying his talent was concise and simple messages to the players. So the total opposite in that sense.
