Ahmed Abdullahi

Does for me

Always wanted four strikers at the club. Last time was Phillips, Quinn, bridges and dichio iirc
I remember there were 4 when we got promoted under mic mac, I think it was Kyle, Elliott, Dean, and Smith

It was a long time ago but I seem to recall signing the Dean and smith in January and them competing pretty well over who should be in the starting lineup, so all four chipped in with goals. A bit like a championship version of the Man Utd treble winning squad.

We want one more striker but we will play two up top at times, that means you need four options. He'll stay around IMO and Trey will go out on loan.
Might be better for him to go out and play week in week out though, he's 21 now and apart from 2 appearances for Gent he's basically just played youth football.

Dean. Is that Brian Deane ?

I was confused for a min

No Chris not for me.

Keep him involved with the first team. Impact sub

We shall in the next few games when more of the first team are involved what happens but I hope there’s a spot for him
Aye, I wasn’t sure on the spelling so I gambled on no E.

The smith was Tommy Smith from Watford. Not the Tommy Smith we got from Ipswich a few years later 😂
  👍

The scout watching Gray told Mick that he was nowhere near good enough and he still insisted we went for it. Blackburn had realised they’d signed a dud with Stead and were touting him out to champ clubs willing to pay 50% of wages. They were stunned when another pl club actually wanted to buy him and amazingly we still managed to sell him. I think only Warnock and McCarthy were old school enough to rate him
Blackburn may have thought that by the end of 04/05. But Stead scored the goals that kept them in the Premier League 03/04 ... languishing in 17th place and falling fast with 6 games to go, they went on a mini-run of 4 straight wins. Stead scored in 3 of them - 2 of which were the winning goals. He also scored in both their only other 2 wins since Jan.

They were singing his praises that season ... then next season he started firing blanks.

Then Connor Wickham became his regen

Have a look later in the window i.e who may yet come in in regards to a loan. He might end up a bit of a wildcard in the squad as a 3rd/4th striker and could add a bit unpredictability

Abdullahi seems a strong lad like. Good with his back to goal. Kept running, coming short and making runs. Took his goal very well

I’d be sending him out for a good championship loan
He’s also scored 5 goals in his 4 appearances now for us

Smith was the season before. He left the club before the season started. Our strikers were Marcus Stewart, Kevin Kyle, Stephen Elliott, Chris Brown, Michael Bridges and, late on in the season, Brian Deane.

Similar to us and Wickham. We also got well paid for him iirc
