I’m reluctant to admit it but yer grandad one’s a classic. Shame it’s colour schemes wrong.Adidas won’t hammer retro trainers.
They’ll hammer 95-99 retro strips and will clean up.

Those black and green are awful mind the faded blue are nice.A couple of nee London’s were on the jd site earlier this week
You never see Diadora Borg Elite with the gold stripes in the shops anymore. They were my favourites. Much prefer a white trainer to coloured. Just think they look better with jeans , tracky bottoms and trousers
I had Pat Cash they were slightly different with a silver stripe.
Had a couple of pair when I was young, had the blue and silver stripe kangaroo leather too, think one might have been Pat Cash?
Have an all white pair but they are a bit battered now.
I had them when I was at senior achool in the mid/late 89's.

My first pair of Diadora had a light blue stripe, can’t remember what they were called.Aye I def had a pair of those. They had the signature on the stripe.
Sure there was a light blue signature pair too.
That's the boys
Aye.The highs and lows of an It-shoe: how Adidas Sambas took over the world
Rishi Sunak may have rendered them uncool this week, but the trainer has risen to ubiquity in the past few years. So what is it about this fairly simple design that is so widely loved?www.theguardian.com
