Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Why hasn't the club came out and simply denied it then?
I've said earlier, but the club washed their hands with him as soon as he pleaded guilty. I suspect this is a case of they don't feel they have any case to defend. They want this subject to be as far away from the club as possible and are doing that by basically ending all contact with it

If you think sacking one person will clear this mess, you're mistaken. Mopping up the blood for years, I reckon. It will always be SAFC that has the fetid stink of a carcass going forward, long after she's gone.
Only for those that allow themselves to be affected, get the Febreeze out man ;)

It's not a rumour - a senior QC and a police officer said it in court. The lead investigator said it today. It's unrefuted by the Club. It happened. Accept it.

heads need to role over this, that simple

Byrne won't leave I doubt she was the only one high up who knew. It'll have been discussed and the club decided to keep Johnson as he'd help keep us up which he did whilst breaking no rules legally

They said no further comment and then made yet another statement.

The only way they distance themselves from it now is to deny that they knew. I have no doubts the would break their neck to deny such an allegation if it wasn't true....

Let's see how they react.

Do you really think that the club would continue to play him without taking
legal advice, give your head a shake man.

I suspect the club did take legal advice. That advice would probably have been that to play Johnson, despite knowing, was not illegal. Doesn't make it right.

Because almost all footballers have bonuses included. As he was one of our biggest signings I'd take an educated guess that he will have had them
Bonus are not seen as guarenteed wages. If he was dropped from the team because a manager didn't like him then he'd lose out on the bonuses, but couldn't do anything about it till they touched his contracted wages. Same applies in any other business.

******BREAKING NEWS ON LOOK NORTH**** Durham police have revealed the club knew he'd kissed her and was messaging her etc, shocking Byrne needs to go
