Absolute joke at the end . . .

Why on earth did they let us out the ground then keep us in a police pen.

We told the police we had driven and they said ‘when you get to the train station you can walk to your car’ . . . Eventually they said we could walk out the cordon when it started moving.

Kept behind for half an hour - WHY?? Never ever been kept behind before, always just walked straight out.
4 of us left the Ground on 94mins, got straight through the Pen Area no problem and walked back to the Station, got there at 2:15pm, had a quick drink in Boom then the 2:30 train back home.
Nee hassle at all. 👍👍

Thirty minutes?

Dear me, what a tragedy.

Because there is a history of trouble at this game, that’s why. Nightmare going there at times.

I have to agree with you.

If you're not showing colours, or going on like an absolute tosser like some of our fans do, then you won't be targeted and can just 'walk away'.

That's what normal people do.
Me and bruv had a great day. Boro from 10am for beer and breakfast (and a good bit crack with a Boro lad) then a pint in Baker Street, before walking to the match and sitting in the home end. A couple of drinks on the concourse (which takes the piss out of the SoL badly designed, jam packed, narrow alley of a concourse...) pre-match and at HT, then a steady walk back to the town afterwards, for our lift.
One of my favourite away days and much better than trailing all owa the country. It all felt very civilised, like 😀.

All sounds good but sitting in the home end and not being able celebrate a goal isn't the best.

Once did it away to Bolton and plenty of other SAFC in the home end too. Not that we had anything to celebrate i'm sure we got beat and failed to score.

Been to a lot of games this season and it always pisses me off how we’ve got one of the worst concourses around imo haha. As much as I’m not keen on Coventry theirs is spot on, loads of room. Only one worse/tighter than ours I can think of is sheff wed

A ground built almost 10 years later has a better concourse? Well I'm shocked at that!

When you compare it to other grounds built around the same time its very very similar. Middlesbrough, Stoke for example

I actually think the concourse is OK, obviously could do with a spring clean, but I think people get pissed off because our concourses are probs more full with people than most others.

East stand concourse has never been fit for purpose. It's always been far too small.

Go escorted out at the end and just left the house Scott right after the bridge and walked straight into the town centre for a drink.

Never been in their home ends, but where the away end at Boro is now the concourse has always felt worse than the SOLs, and getting a pint worse as well. That could be because 2,000+ are crammed into a smallish corner like.

Think it was more spacious but the staff made ours look rapid in terms of service.

It is worse than the SOL, much worse.

When the away end was behind the goal access to the bogs, in and out, was a door wide enough for one person.

Btw, it opened 2 years before the SOL
