Daughter (no) smashed it

Newcastle University here she comes

Mrs Freckletooth (no) can visit her, meaning more home matches for me. Gerrrin

She wont have it that they were actually harder in my day, I knew absolutely nobody at Harton Comp in my year that got an A

Scottish ones were done last week, although it was already sorted for us. Eldest off to Aberdeen to do Maths and Computer Science (something to do with AI in there as well apparently)

I await the arrival of my Terminator imminently.

That’s the media cycle sorted for the next few days then

Pictures of groups of girls jumping in the air holding their exam papers

Secretary of State for Education being grilled on the radio about pass rates

UCAS talking about application numbers

Someone asking why boys’ results are falling

Newspaper story about someone with 15 A*s

“Bums on seats”

Boring article about tuition fees

Etc.

Congrats to all on here awaiting results who get what they wanted

You forgot one key thing.

Some media figure saying “Well I did crap and I turned out ok.” Ignoring the fact they’re a complete outlier.

Well spotted.

“Peter, 37, an analyst at Deloitte, stresses the importance of not worrying if you fail. ‘I got two Ds and an E and I did okay’”

Forgetting to mention his Dad works there and got him a job

I did crap and I am ok.

In fact, all of my siblings did pretty poorly at A Level and we are all ok!

Lass who just joined our lab team at Durham is in £35k debt from a Psychology degree and isn't interested in it anymore. Do student loans effect you when you want a mortgage and that?
