Ace of Base and Chaka Demus and Pliers, dear god.Nah but their fanbase were mainly northerners wearing adidas sambas and Lee jeans. The Oasis crew I like to call them.
Meanwhile I was down in Landan listening to Chaka Demus and the Pliers, Madness and Ace of Base.
Would love to see swervedriver again but they never seem to come to Dublin, is that the raise, mezcal head tour?disappointing album last year imo mate, but can still whip up a storm live. will be seeing swervedriver in a few weeks mate anarl

likewise, except it was whitley bay 1992.Saw them in 2008 at the Glasgow Barrowlands, me hearing has never recovered.
I came across a young band from Morpeth recently called Dose. If this sort of thing is your cup of tea then you'll no doubt like them. They're only like 18, a very talented bunch of young men.
Dose’s debut “Furniture” is an expansive and cinematic piece of noise rock
They're on at The Cluny on Thursday supporting pinkshinyultrablast.Quite good that. Reminds me a little of Public Service Broadcasting, although comparisons in that article to Slowdive and Ulrika Spacek aren't unflattering either.
Tune
Yes you are right. Ride, based in the colliery village of oxford were deffo northern scumbags.
Nee mention of Galaxie 500, shameful.
Saw them live at Newcastle Mayfair supported by The Verve. Ashcroft was a total mess as were they generally, long way from Bitter Sweet Symphony et al.
Ride were quality.
