I came across a young band from Morpeth recently called Dose. If this sort of thing is your cup of tea then you'll no doubt like them. They're only like 18, a very talented bunch of young men.

Dose’s debut “Furniture” is an expansive and cinematic piece of noise rock

Steve Lurpak just finished his show on 6 music with these boys.

I bought someones record collection about 10 yr ago for £20 and it contained all of the Ride 12 inch singles in mint condition, like new. Also all the Pixies albums.

aprt from them being the virtual template for more commercial bands like Garbage in the mid/late 90's, she (Toni Halliday) was a lass from or brought up in Sunderland aswell

Nah but their fanbase were mainly northerners wearing adidas sambas and Lee jeans. The Oasis crew I like to call them.

Meanwhile I was down in Landan listening to Chaka Demus and the Pliers, Madness and Ace of Base.
