4th test Manchester

Absolutely mate on Thursday afternoon we totally destroyed and humiliated the Aussies, I am convinced if it happened the other way they would have been ten times more posts slaughtering us than they were praising us that afternoon.

This England side is both a winning and brilliant entertaining cricket side that is making test cricket great to watch again.

Yet negative posts far outweigh positive posts imo throughout this series and there has been nothing between the sides.

By playing really good, positive attacking cricket without being overly clever or reckless. It was superb. That’s exactly what we should have done during the first test on a similarly flat track but we batted like smart arses and I think got carried away by our own hype.

We’ve played some really good cricket, but, at times, some pretty brainless and un-ruthless cricket. Those are the margins on which series can be won and lost. They’re not beyond criticism

Winning the toss 4 times in home conditions and going in 2 - 1 down (granted weather has prevented it being 2 all) is frustrating.
Think we had to be more targeted on the stumps yesterday as well with the limited time we were likely to get.
Overall been a great series that's ebbed and flowed but small errors in the 1st 2 games the difference

Bowling yesterday was very poor

A shame this couldn't be a 6 test series. I can remember when they played 6 tests. Of course that would never have fit in with the16.4 but when the ECB finally ditch that shitshow it would be nice to see this brought back.

Target too much on the stumps you just get clipped away though. Agree with the rest. Didn’t think we bowled full enough and should have had more close catchers with the runs we had to play with.

True but also it means they have to play at it, and law of averages you'll miss or edge one

While we were playing that attacking cricket on Thursday afternoon we still risks Root pulled his first ball, if he got out people would have called it reckless

The last six test series was 1997 or something. Even if the Hundred was scrapped there’s no chance of them coming back.
