There's no way we go into the next test with just 3 seamers and a part time spinner. Pope/Malan at 3 and another quick to come in.
 
Roy -- at least if he comes off he'll get us off to a fast start

Root - might as well come in at 5-1 rather than a few minutes later at 12-2

Would like to see Garton given a chance if the spot becomes available, he's looked good whenever I've seen him.

The team needs a few mentally strong winners, so Livingstone also not a bad shout.

I agree on livingstone, we need to forget ability (no one has any anyway) and pick on personality and he’s about the strongest we have. Stoneman would be in a similar bracket.

The team’s mental weakness is a huge problem. They looked like they came out for the 2nd innings already defeated. The team needs a few winners in there to change that around

Morgan is a great example of that with the one day team, he never looks panicked or defeated.

When Stoneman got his chance I always felt he showed the right attitude and technique for test cricket, but just never managed to build a score and as a result went back out of the revolving door of partners for Cook at the time.

I would rather see him back in than to continue with Sibley, at least if he gets in he could then go through the gears and score some quick runs. It's surely no bigger gamble than any of the other options at the moment.

Stoneman had his chance and wasn’t great, I think there needs to be change but not sure he’s the answer. Also another left hander against this Indian attack probably isn’t the best idea

I would go for this team but with Overton at 8 assuming Woakes isnt fit and available. Hes not everyones cup of tea on here but I think he would make things difficult for them in the same way Robinson does and is a good bat.
