Broad proved at Lords that even if you can’t bat you can hang around against tough bowling if you can be arsed.
 

I normally think of Woakes as being one of our more sensible batsmen. That wasn’t sensible, two minutes before lunch.

Duckett had pulled but not hooked and had looked great, soon as he tried it he got out.

Absolute refusal to learn any lesson and absolutely determined to make the same mistakes over and over again.
 
This is the most embarassing Ashes series from us that I can remember. We were actually expected to lay a glove on them this time and we haven’t. Walk in the park for the convicts.
 
Blimey. After everything that has happened, he gets out on the stroke of lunch having a swish. It's just getting pathetic now, it's not brave or a new way, it's just pathetic.
