3rd test - Headingley

It kind off looks like the results last year flattered to deceive now they are up against Aus in a series that matters to everyone.

I was referring to test cricket.

Not going to argue with you, our performance in the last 2 tests has been sub standard, can maybe salvage some pride from this one but looking at the way we get out doesn't fill me with confidence. Into the tail after what 4 or so hours batting is poor.
Yeah fair enough mate emotions run higher in the ashes and it has been disappointing

Just making a general point that before this series we have been excellent in all forms including test cricket

The results were consistent and legitimate and aren't any less so because they don't work against the best team in the world.

It says a lot about all the other teams that they lost to a team who are obviously just as rank at Test batting as they were a few tears ago though.

And also I think it underscores how much of the victories were on account of shock and awe, I don't think they will lead to anything like as much continual sucsess going forward.

Why the fuck do we keep playing the hook shot.

See that 6 you hit Chris? That's the height you and your teammates are comfortable at playing shots like that.

Shoulder height your all hopeless. See Duckett, Root, Moeen, Robinson at lords and today.
