2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers - Zimbabwe

Useful partnership by this pair. Could win them the match when earlier it looked like they were well stuffed.

Brilliant win for Scotland. First time ever that the Windies have missed out on a World Cup, sad to see they are continuing their demise

Scotland should have went at it a bit harder near the end, their NRR is a bit inferior to Zim. Hopefully SL help them tomorrow with a convincing win.

Indeed they did. Massive match against Zim on Tuesday now, and I think a win should be enough unless the Dutch pull off something spectacular against Oman. I'm still not sure how these NRRs are worked out though.

They have picked up nicely since McMullen has come in
94-1 off 23 @ 4.09 an over now.
Need to keep upping the rate though.

Seems like they've plucked him out of midair from South Africa.

Not played any first team cricket till Feb for Scotland. All his list A cricket has been ODI's

Wiki says "In South Africa, McMullen played at under-19 level for and . He moved to Scotland in 2018 to play club cricket for Stirling County Cricket Club and regional cricket for Western Warriors. "

From Stirling Cricket to bossing international cricket so far. Averaging 40 odd with the bat and under 20 with the ball.

Sean Williams has now ripped through the Scottish innings with three swift wickets and Scotland are under the cosh to get a defendable total.

146-4 off 38 overs.

Doesn’t look an easy wicket to score on….but Zimbabwe have got to be in the box seat now.
Scotland total:
234-8.

At least it’s a total to defend.
A lot depends on the three Scottish spinners.

Who the hell is this Sole lad. Never heard of him before this tournament and he’s apparently touching 93mph today.

Now McMullen takes the wicket of Kaia lbw….Zimbabwe crumbling on 37-4.

This after Greaves had put down an absolute dolly from the very dangerous Raza
