16.00 June 7th statement by KLD.

Just as this was put out, I just came off the phone to my mate who himself had just been on the phone to the business manager for corporate at the club (my mate has corporate tickets) and he said he asked him when are we getting a manager - he did tell him (and my mate doesnt come on here) Imminently was what he told him.....that was just before KLD stuck this out

The update is great but even if they get the 'right' man, it doesn't mean they've ran a good process.

Additionally it looks like it could be Rosenoir and my word on him is that had they prized him from hull when Mowbray was sacked it would have been appealing, had they prized him away from Hull when Beale got the bullet it would have been interesting, now however it looks clear that anyone appointed is clearly the 5th choice etc, and once again we're heading for an unemployed British manager, following Neil, Mowbray and Beale. Look he may deliver, he may not even get the job, but from the array of 'sexy' names linked it is underwhelming and this is compounded by the manner in which this searched has been undertaken.

There are bold words in this statement in regards to ambition and I fear they will remain just words, in the January of Mowbrays first season a little ambition in the market could have been the difference in those playoff games, we've fallen short of our expectations this year but you could argue that any manager was outfitted with half a deck and lacked players in key positions, one position in particular, highlighting a further lack of ambition. And finally a managerial search, lasting for over 100 days, in which we threw away the season in Feb to start.

This is a massive summer and the appointment is very important. For me Rosenoir and Jensen for examples purposes do not illustrate a high level of ambition, we'll have to wait for the summer window to elapse to see the promised level of ambition to the head coach, the caveats they agreed to when they took the job and the team they've got going into the season.

Well the lad himself disagrees with you. Are you saying he's a bit of a liar?
Means bot all really.

Who was Ronaldos coach when he was 12?
Who was Messis?
Who was Marradonnas?
Who was Mason Burstows?

How do we know his greatness wasn't down to his school P.E teacher or his team coach when he played in the Russell Foster youth league etc, etc...

If Dodds is so great a coach where are all the other superstars he's nurtured?🤔

Why? Rob Edwards was lower league and proved successful. Dave Challinor has shown himself to be a successful manager, albeit at a lower league level but there is no reason to suppose he won't be successful with a better squad.
I just think it will be another Beale situation who will not get the chance, especially if he hasn't been at this level. If he got off to a good start though and we played well then yes things may turn around. He wouldn't be my choice, not when Jansen is on the list with him.

Means a lot. Dodds has had a real positive influence on the lads development and the lad acknowledges that. I'm not sure why people have a problem with that.

I expect the announcement to be made today also

As in imminently??

Good statement as far as I’m concerned. Close to an appointment and acknowledging the mistakes from last season.
Hopefully they’ve got someone decent lined up otherwise they’d just make an announcement rather than putting this out too
