They're not going to give a timeframe, nor should they. It just gives yet another thing for people to hammer them for when it doesnt happen - which can be out of their control despite what some on here seem to think.

Its a farce how long its gone on for, no doubt about it, but they are damned if they do and damned if they dont with some things- releasing statements for one.
 

Went chasing for Still for 100 days man, learned nothing. If it's Jansen I think a lot of people will let it go but if it's an inexperienced manager or one from league 2 then there will be uproar. Has to be Jansen, only decent one on the list with top level experience, fail to get him and back to square 1.

See, that was never ever going to be the case as they'd be absolutely mental to put a time frame on anything or that we've agreed terms. Goes tits up and the ramifications would be massive.
This statement was all we were ever going to get.

It was utterly pointless but it's what people wanted
 
Hopefully imminently are not really words that together ease concerns for most. Imminently would be pretty much announced in the next day or so. Hopefully makes it much more vague and that indicates they aren't really close to announcing someone. Atleast he's admitted the mess of last season, but to wait 5 weeks for some words from the owner for it just to be hoping to have a manager soon is less than ideal. As others say though, nothing would be universally accepted and will be the same with whoever gets the job
