I just think that they’ve had so much flak about the length of the delay in the media/fanzines/supporters collective meetings - that KLD wouldn’t have put this statement out unless it was basically done now - I.e. at the stage where something is firmly agreed and very, very unlikely to change/go wrong. Otherwise he’s running the risk of looking like an even bigger tit.
 
Can’t please some folk on here. People ask for a statement from the club and they still aren’t happy and still guessing. Let’s just get behind whoever they appoint and give them our full support. HWTL

There's better statements to put out than that. Personally don't think it was needed but if you're gonna put one out there then you could at least give the fans a sliver of news.

A time frame rather than a word that could mean owt, information on why it's taken longer than expected, saying we're still interviewing, saying it's down to the final few, we've agreed terms with someone previously and it's broken down etc etc.

Not saying all of those things had to be said either, just one would have been nice. A small bit of information would have gone a long way for some people.

Definitely a word used to describe something happening in minutes or hours rather than days or weeks.

It'll be July then.

To be fair - the statement is very, very late but it says all the right things.

Not sure how anyone could be pissed pff with the sentiment of the statement - as you’ve said it acknowledges they’ve cocked up, but claims they are ambitious, want to have success going forward etc.

What I definitely could understand though, is an attitude of “that statement is fine, but I’m believing fuck all until that translates in to action, not words”. We’ve heard lots of promises and spiel from them and far too often it’s not been reflected in actions. That’s where I am and where I think most people are likely to be.
