13th in league?

We would have had more points with a striker or 2 and key players fit.
Don’t buy that excuse. We scored 2 at home yesterday. We didn’t lose because we didn’t have Stewart. And your whole season cannot hinge on the fitness of one player. The managers setup for set pieces is a joke - we didn’t have a problem aerially with Neil in charge.
TM harps on about the two divisions apart whenever Burnley, Watford or Norwich are mentioned.
He’s just full of excuses. Not good enough for me. We’re in the same division as them on merit. They don’t have the same squads they had in the PL and we don’t have the same squad we had in league one.

Having Stewart injured is an excuse too. You need to learn to adapt and deal with it. I can accept the Boro game with it being so close to KO but after that you need to have a plan B, C, D and even Z.

yet battered Norwich still don’t kna how we lost that game

could have easily won v Watford

Burnley never laid a finger on us first half yesterday

just think we’ve too many bairns & not enough experience players at the moment still think we’ll

be no worse than mid table

I know youre the resident saddack but how can you say the young lads arent developing. Do you jot think cirkin is better this year than last? Or Patterson

I have been at ASDA for two years now. Do you think I possibly have improved since arriving? I don't think so. If I do something for the first time and I was generally good enough, then that tell me all I need to know. If you aren't developing after roughly time the team has had together, then the more time passes and you still aren't improving do you think you should continue? What if it is the same with a football team? If after 2-3 years and they still are at the level they are at now, then will you still be saying they are developing?

Some people just can't accept that there are better team in this league than us..

I think theirs about 20 teams better than us in this league. I am under no illusiion. I am not dreaming. But this game shows that we are getting to the time where we must think if they still aren't developing after x amount of time then we need to something about it. It was horrible to watch. I didn't enjoy it at all. I am wishing I hadn't put in for yesterday as a day off. I am dreading the rest of the season if it is anything like that.

It’s not an excuse. We’ve been playing without a striker for 2 months. It would have an impact on any team. I blame Speakman for that.

We'll definitely stay in the league this year. That is guaranteed.
Where we are in 2023 at the end of the season is what matters. 😉

How on earth is it “guaranteed”. We are dropping like a stone, the team third bottom are 4 points behind us, but have 3 games in hand, every other team between us and them is either level on points, or 1 win from overtaking us.

Based on current form it’s looking highly likely we’ll be even closer the bottom 3 come the World Cup.

We’ve also been here before. Explain to me how it’s guaranteed we won’t get sucked in because to me it looks highly f***ing likely.

It’s an excuse. You have to deal with whatever hand you’re given as a manager. Or shall we just give up now and not even try until Stewart’s back?

There’s ways to mitigate it and play to your strengths. We didn’t lose yesterday because we didn’t have Stewart. We scored twice at home and that should be enough for at least one point. Conceding 4 at home is never acceptable.

We played some great football yesterday, and we've played some fantastic football this season..the goal of the month award testifies to that..if you can't see that we have some great young exciting players at this club that will only get better given time you might want to put more overtime in marra..

Young exciting players. Get better given time.

Interesting set of soundbites.

And can you give us a timeframe? Can you predict when they will reach peak? I can't. Clearly you can. Help me out here.

The fact that we didn’t have a striker yesterday hurt us massively in the second half IMO.

Aye, we scored two but the fact that we had no one in their half to hold the ball up and buy us some time (Clarke has a decent set of skills but hold up play isn’t one of them) meant that when we were getting pummelled we had no out ball. Cos of that it was just one way traffic.

If we had a centre forward I reckon it would have at least given us a fighting chance as we’d have kept hold of the ball a bit more instead of basically being on the ropes for the first twenty minutes of the second half.

I agree that Mowbray has questions to answer about not changing it in the second but not having a striker definitely affected us yesterday, like.

Ah, the age old “if we had some tall guy to hoof the ball at” excuse. That’s not how football really works, just how fifa works. We needed to be braver and pass the ball out and retain possession that way, not playing yee old hoofball to a lanky bloke with no one within 59 yards of him.

We are playing the best football in years, if you cant see that then I feel sorry for you. Keep being negative marra I'm sure it makes you feel better 👍

And you think I am negative when we WIN?

You think being negative makes me feel better? I have never felt so crestfallen and horrible in all my life. I felt sick to the pit of my stomach. You just stamped all over how I felt at FT. Nice one. Well done for that. Now do you think I feel better? Now do you want to be me? I don't want to be me when we lose. It should be you that I ought to feel sorry for.

Asky yourself why I am negative when we lose and positive when we win and then come back to me.

I’ll be happy if we stay up, it was bizarre after we drew with Watford seeing people on here say we should be top 6 comfortable.
