13th in league?

We’ve had awful 45 minute spells during the season (Swansea and Stoke away in particular) so I’m not overly concerned given the lack of options up front.

If we’re looking back at only 1-2 points from Huddersfield, Cardiff and Birmingham then I’ll start to be a bit worried the wheels have fallen off

I'd be happy with mid-table mediocrity this year. And, maybe the next 2 or 3. We've been a shit show of a club to many times. Everyone just calm down and settle for sensible.
Seriously mate ?

That is the limit of your ambitions for Safc.

Don't take this the wrong way but do you go to the games or are you living down Portsmouth. If you don't attend for the games would you still be happy to pay hundreds or even thousands a year to watch a club that are happy to sit mid table in the second tier of English football.

No, it's not the limit of my ambition for the club. But, I'd like to see some stability and consistency for a couple of years rather than bouncing up and down the leagues again. Yes, I live near Portsmouth and get to games when I can. We've been a shitshow of a club for years so slowly building to a point where we're sustainable as a top flight club is my ambition. Do you want Champions league by the end of next season?

You think we will be getting 40k being ‘sensible’ mid table mediocrity?

To sustain that level of support the word ambition is what you are looking for.

Thatsfair enough. I think you can have stability and consistency with a good dose of ambition. After all that is what every fan of every club wants at the end of the day. We have been a shitshow for years..thanks to poor management from top to bottom. The last 6 years were due to penny pinching and doing things on the cheap.
Momentum and the feelgood factor plays a huge part in drawing crowds in, which in turn generates more money and so on. Apart from the hardcore who would still go, alot of fans will stop if the club consistently accept mid table mediocrity.
I know I would.
