which would tie in with my point that I have repeatedly told you that the standard of bowling in test cricket is very poor at the minute
south africa are 2 in the world. First and third are sub continent sides where spin plays a big part of the game and where the need to produce out and out quickies is diminished
So there are no out and out quick bowlers in world cricket because the conditions don't suit, but when there's a bowler who exploits the conditions when they do suit they are not any good good because the conditions are helpful.
By that reckoning Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India all have poor spin bowlers as they have taken their wickets in helpful conditions. Murali, Mendis, Kumble, Harbijhan, Saqlain, Kaneria, Mushtaq Ahmed - all not very good because they bowled on dust bowls for the majority of their careers.
