Million games to lose bottom of each group and 2 worst third places , bloody hell.

I honestly picked a team in commies on Sunday and couldn't believe it when I asked one of the lads how many was in it. I knew there was more than 32 but I guessed 40 , and i even complained at that :)

It used to be called the world cup 'finals'.
But 48 teams doesn't feel right..and they want to increase it to more. if so, why bother with qualifying? Just the top 62 ranked teams enter straightaway, or top 12 from each region.

I totally understand why they have done it...
Some could say greed for more money - I personally don't believe there is any corruption in the game or with the governing bodies. no way.
Some may say it's to offer the smaller teams / or not as strong teams a chance to compete...thats why there is qualifying.

anyway, yeah not that bothered.
I will watch most of the england group games, but not stopping up till 2am should we get through etc.

Its supposed to have an elite like feel to it, with the odd shock inclusion.

Shouldnt have shitloads of shite like Iran n Saudi n Scotland in it imo. Totally devalues the event.

Too many matches and teams who shouldn't be there. FIFA have ruined the format with 48 teams and just means the tournament proper doesnt start till July now.

Well I have seen reports that a number of Scotland fans have had their visas cancelled for their on line posts. This is after they have already paid for tickets flights and hotels.

What a shitshow this World Cup is turning out to be for football fans.

The Iranian team have been banned from entering the USA until the morning of each match then they have leave again to return to Mexico to sleep!

Next world cup could have 64 teams and be played across 6 countries and 3 contingents
