Plane Watch

experience and value for money short term. Leaves money for a top player/s.

Griffin said that the last 32yr old freebie turned out great. He then said that was Reinildo, he wasn't 32 he was 31. I'm not sure who the last 32 yr old freebie was but this fella isn't 32 anyway, he's 33

What older players did we sign then was maybe 1

Nobody knows what someone’s value is gonna be they could be shite it’s just someone's opinion your right it was stated we will only pay a fee for players under a certain age as they have some resale value as we used to sign 28/30 year olds for millions then give them away for nowt
League one we signed Winchester, Bailey Wright, Batth, Pritchard, Evans. Championship were less but still one or two, Moore and Dack for example.
How many home grown players we got and do we need ?
We “ need” 8 to have a 25 man squad. For Europa squad 4 need to be from our own academy.
Obviously we have loads of kids that could make up that four but not that would necessarily contribute. Young and Rigg, possibly Mayenda if he qualifies.
For the premier league the eight is trickier- we have a few that will probably be leaving but it could include Ballard, O’Nien, Huggins, Alese, Cirkin, Hjelde, Browne, Neil, Mundle. Trouble is six or seven of those will probably go.

well maybe not then if we don’t have enough.

So why we signing a 33 year old then :):):):) and xhaka and mukiele and alderette and Reinaldo

More experience particularly if the lad is a good footballer.

What was the model anyway? Buy young and sell at a profit? I hope the model has changed because you don't let your best players go for anything, you build on them. Eventually you'll come unstuck like Wolves did because even when you're doing well and finding gems and making money, it can't last.
However I'm not sure about him. I know he's a good player, but his injury history is horrific.

Agree with this. There's no point in having players in your squad who you can't rely on, the quality and the cost doesn't make up for it.
