So why we signing a 33 year old thenThe model hasn’t changed and they said that in the summer.
Agree. We used to only sign younger players for fees but now we clearly target older players for cash. Xhaka, Mukiele, Traoré and Alderete being the obvious oneSo why we signing a 33 year old thenand xhaka and mukiele and alderette and Reinaldo
Reinildo
The model was always value. That tended to mean free for older players.Agree. We used to only sign younger players for fees but now we clearly target older players for cash. Xhaka, Mukiele, Traoré and Alderete being the obvious one
And then KLD persuaded Granit to sign. Unbeatable vfm for an older player, based on his leadership this season. The model was always value. That tended to mean free for older players.
Not sure. “Value” is a bit meaningless, every club could say that. The model was always value. That tended to mean free for older players.
Hetty you forgot to post the mandatory youtube-video of the rumoured incoming players latest released rapsong(!!!), but I gladly assist you with it!You must be logged on to see media itemsYou must be logged on to see media items
The model is value based, they were all value as they offered a higher finish and their fees are either recoverable or paid back in pitch workAgree. What older players did we sign then was maybe 1The model was always value. That tended to mean free for older players.
Nobody knows what someone’s value is gonna be they could be shite it’s just someone's opinion your right it was stated we will only pay a fee for players under a certain age as they have some resale value as we used to sign 28/30 year olds for millions then give them away for nowtNot sure. “Value” is a bit meaningless, every club could say that.
We used to have a line of ~25 under which we hadn’t spent any money under KLD until (iirc) Xhaka
That has now shifted with (I think) 4 players coming in above that line for a fee
Easiest much cheaper and quicker"you've got to fly from noocassle to get to spain... "
experience and value for money short term. Leaves money for a top player/s.Reinildo was 31 last summer and this lad is 33 but apart from that![]()

I’m afraid we’ll have to respectfully disagree. I’m fairly sure it was confirmed we only paid for under-somethings early on. That has since evolvedThe model is value based, they were all value as they offered a higher finish and their fees are either recoverable or paid back in pitch work
In the championship we couldn’t take the risk of high fees, value was deemed to be young players with re sale value to constantly keep improving
The value has never been age based its whether it was value for money
Alderete and Nordi aren’t 33?So why we signing a 33 year old thenand xhaka and mukiele and alderette and Reinaldo

I disagree. I think our summer transfer business showed that while the preference will generally be for younger players, they will sign older players where necessary.33 ? Interesting doesn’t fit our model normally
