Anthony Gordon to Bayern.

I think the mags will be better without him
Has an immense opinion of himself and is clearly stinking the place out
Astounded Kompany is bringing him into what looks like a harmonious squad
He'll probably be more humble and play to his potential for a big club competing for European trophies.

One of those rotten players whose attitude almost entirely negates his ability.

Scored almost double the amount of goals in the CL in less than half of the minutes as the PL. And decided to sack off the run-in, presumably to stay fit for the WC/get his move. Horrible.

the sport is in a very dark place if Anthony Gordon is getting moves to Barcelona

Why? He's played in a side this year devoid of confidence in the league at least. He has some attributes that makes him a very dangerous player and in a top team like Barcelona it's easy to see how he could shine.

We're talking about Anthony Gordon and Barcelona in the same sentence for one. They're willingly going to pay about £70 million for two. And he's had one good season in his entire career for three.

So? He's an England international and they obviously see something in him. Rashford was struggling and couldn't get regular games in a poor Man Utd team that finished 15th in the PL. But Barca took him on loan... It's just how football works. Recruitment teams can monitor a player and believe that he represents value for them. On his day, he is a handful for most full backs in the world. If they can get him playing consistently then he could be a good buy.

I'd be surprised if they went in for a player like Dan Burn - but there is clearly a player in Gordon who probably won't look out of place in the Barca team if he plays to the best of his ability.

I'd say this Barca talk is just them trying to see who blinks first over Rashford. A skint Barca dont want to pay the £24 million or whatever it is so no way are they going to pay the price for Gordon the mags will be asking.

(and Gordon is vastly over rated)

The Times says today Barça are in for him at £75 million.
I can't believe that and don't want to either.
They already have Rashford on offer for about £30 million and he will start ahead of Gordon at the WC.
There are also rumblings about Kane to Barça. Now that I would like.

If you expect Kane to drop deep, you want players who will run into the space beyond him. From the left our only two options really are Rashford and Gordon.

He might not have been clinical recently, but he definitely has attributes (pace and directness) to drive into the space left by Kane and hopefully link up with Kane, Bellingham and Saka

I would take Rashford in that role ahead of Gordon. He has his limits but he works well for England in that role
