Did Chelsea purposely lose the game

One of the worst trans I’ve seen us play this season lack of fight passion etc individual world class players but no were near a world class team
All the fan vids I’ve seen they’re fuming.
Also, if they wanted to lose why did Palmer score a goal? Was that part of the three d chess?? 🤣🤣
Knew he’d break his duck yesterday FFS 😭

This season Sunderland have built a game plan based on making good teams look pretty ordinary. This happened again at the weekend and long may it continue.

Premier league squads are set at 25. Chelsea have 31 registered first team players and probably another 10 or so out on loan. With no European football, they'll need to shed a load of bodies and there are fewer games to play. Given the crap season they've had, the sales are not going to be record setters and they'll likely sell just to get wages off the books and avoid financial fair play issues.

Chelsea's performance was nothing like the insipid performance of Aston Villa few weeks back at the beginning of May against Tottenham ... in fact I thought that Chelsea with 10 men were a threat.

So t's another "No" from me ...

They were actually a lot better than I thought they'd be. Said to my dad if we get a 2nd they'll fold like a pack of cards but they kept going & were probably the better side once James came on. Palmer was excellent throughout (i don't get not taking him to the world cup i really don't).
It just goes to show how far we've come, the table doesn't lie, we're actually a better side which is wild!
This is what I seen.
Thought Chelsea were an absolute disgrace tbh, play acting feigning injury after any slight contact, Palmer's chance early in the game was more like a back pass to Roefs, they weren't interested.

Perked up after hearing HT scores when they thought they had Europa League chance and then had a 10 min spell after scoring scoring.

Team of shirts with zero team ethic and commitment to the club, all individuals and about themselves...the exact opposite to what we have managed to nurture at SAFC over the last few years.
They started the day 1 point ahead of us, they had just as much chance of Europa league as us.

Which were the best trans players you saw Hank?
Steve Bruce has to be in with a shout.
Some so called "in the knows", will do anything to take credit away from our achievements. Ignore them, that's what they hate the most.
100% this!
I just don't understand why some of our fans look for any reason for us winning other than our players and HC getting it right.
The team was phenomenal, the crowd were amazing, it was our day and it was on merit. Why does their have to be more complicated than that?
We'd already beaten them away, so why the scrutiny on why we beat them at home?

We finished 7th in our first season back in the PL and qualified for the Europa League. It must be because all the teams we got points from were shite and couldn't be arsed. I mean, what else could it be?

We’ve certainly no way of knowing if they threw it
However, if I were the new gaffer I would much prefer to be getting them back up the league into the CL spots without the European distraction for next season . Not to mention shifting all that dead wood

Anyway, seen this? How LOUD are our fans? Skip to 9:30 to actually get to the game and 9:46 when someone says "f*ckin' hell" when we are singing Wise Men Say ))

They couldn’t wrap their heads around the fact they had to come to Sunderland and actually turn up, to be fair the fans really were the 12th man yesterday the odd time i heard the Chelsea fans it sounded pathetic.

We overwhelmed them on the pitch and in the stands so much they struggled to cope with it, I also thought it influenced the referee for first time ever.

Best day ever 🙌

They’re a great example of how spending a ton of money is no guarantee of success.

We obviously spent a fortune last summer but we made sure that we signed the right sort of characters with fantastic mental resilience as well as being seriously good footballers, whereas their owners sign players for huge fees and ridiculous long-term contracts with absolutely no thought on how they’ll fit into the squad, plus a lot of their players simply don’t fancy it as soon as they have to deal with the slightest bit of adversity.
