Did Chelsea purposely lose the game

They couldn’t handle the noise and atmosphere. We’re unbeatable when the SOL is rocking.

Chelsea just didn’t press us, Cucarella constantly had a man disadvantage with Hume and Gerty doubling up on his side and the only player that looked like he was going to make something happen was Palmer. They’ve been shocking all season, 11 red cards in all comps. Just a squad completely devoid of a leader.

They were actually a lot better than I thought they'd be. Said to my dad if we get a 2nd they'll fold like a pack of cards but they kept going & were probably the better side once James came on. Palmer was excellent throughout (i don't get not taking him to the world cup i really don't).
It just goes to show how far we've come, the table doesn't lie, we're actually a better side which is wild!

Thought Chelsea were an absolute disgrace tbh, play acting feigning injury after any slight contact, Palmer's chance early in the game was more like a back pass to Roefs, they weren't interested.

Perked up after hearing HT scores when they thought they had Europa League chance and then had a 10 min spell after scoring scoring.

Team of shirts with zero team ethic and commitment to the club, all individuals and about themselves...the exact opposite to what we have managed to nurture at SAFC over the last few years.

No but it makes them more dangerous for next season not having European football. Rate Alonso so think he will do ok

They've been downing tools at the drop of a hat this season. The lack of effort they put in was a disgrace tbh.

They definitely were not desperate to win, and didn't want it as much as we did that was obvious. But they did want to win i imagine they would want to win every game. It is better for Alonso they will only have one game a week though.

All the fan vids I’ve seen they’re fuming.
Also, if they wanted to lose why did Palmer score a goal? Was that part of the three d chess?? 🤣🤣

No, the fact is we wanted the win more, our fans scared the crap out of them with the noise in the SOL, we took the game to them and should of been out of sight before they pulled one back. The deserved red card helped us but you can see with Chelsea why they have got so many red cards this season, they could easily of had more than one sent off against us yesterday, quite lucky not too especially Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo.
