Did Chelsea purposely lose the game

We have easily had 7 or 8 players on a pitch who were 100% not trying in the 2 seasons we got back to back relegations. They weren’t match fixing or anything just not trying and hiding from the ball.

With Chelsea the money men wouldn’t have wanted confederate league but Europa they probably would have taken. The players are just not good enough as a whole though, they’ll have 5 or 6 games where they look good then revert back to standard and get sent off or make mistakes.

The biggest thing for them is only playing once a week next season, Alonso has a huge job on his hands as they have too many players yet still need more.

You could argue we have had 11 players out on the pitch not trying for the last 10 years.
You were well up for that yesterday and deserved everything that you got.
I’m right off football at present, a miserable old bastard.
Don’t want to renew my season ticket but will. I have lost all my heart with the club.
If the Trust led a campaign to boycott the support I would be up for that but with a joint venture we are fragmented and not ready.
Basically it is shite.

Anyway about you I am absolutely made up for you. Watching those scenes though on one hand fantastic on the other not being anywhere near positivity it cuts really deep.

Reading various reports that it wasn't beneficial to qualify because of the expenditure percentage rule but surely europa wukd have given them a foundation to build on...or were we just too good for them again and it sort of detracts from how fkn unified weve became as a side.
Ha ha. You sad man.

They've been cack all season. Yesterday was one of the better performances I've seen from them.
This, they didn’t lose on purpose why would they. Do you think the owners would get away with telling the players to lose 🤣 you seen the state of some of those Chelsea players attitudes haha they’d toss the owners under the bus the moment they weren’t happy.

It looked to me like they wanted to win.

I didn't get that impression. Up until they scored and seemed to get a bit more fired up, they looked like they couldn't be arsed.

And I'm not taking anything away from our players, who were excellent.

Up there with the worst fans I have ever met.
I usually avoid any football conversations with any Chelsea fans.
We, we, we and we.

And then (if they are actually from London and have been going to games for years) will extoll the virtues of how they would cause monumental amounts of trouble everywhere they went as if it's something to be proud of. Bunch of f***ing arseholes every last one of them to a man

I think we surprised them by pressing them from the start with high tempo and energy.
They just didn't know what to do, their gameplan would've been in tatters.

The lads put every last shred of effort, skill and endeavour into that performance and thoroughly deserved the win.

Yeah, no doubt we were excellent and thoroughly deserved the win. On another day we win 4-0.

I just thought they were on the beach - bad attitudes all round and poor mentality. That's not the same as saying they actively set out to lose.

We are a lot better than people give us credit. We struggled with a fair few injuries and AFCON December - February but we've shown towards the end of the season what we are capable of when most players are around, 6th best team (joint 5th) in the last ten games

I've said it a few times but our strongest XI is a top half side, which is now being proven. It sounded barmy to suggest it earlier in the season.

Indeed. We'll be even better next season, as well!
Can't wait.
