Did Chelsea purposely lose the game

Ah this is what all the whingey buggars will latch onto next season I can see the Brisbane Mackem post coming from a mile away

That is a load of bollocks.
You cannot and will not get 11 players on a football field not trying.
Like Everton yesterday they simply came up short.
Sunderland wanted that game more and won it on the day.

No different to Wembley 1990 when both teams went out to win a game of football.
We have easily had 7 or 8 players on a pitch who were 100% not trying in the 2 seasons we got back to back relegations. They weren’t match fixing or anything just not trying and hiding from the ball.

With Chelsea the money men wouldn’t have wanted confederate league but Europa they probably would have taken. The players are just not good enough as a whole though, they’ll have 5 or 6 games where they look good then revert back to standard and get sent off or make mistakes.

The biggest thing for them is only playing once a week next season, Alonso has a huge job on his hands as they have too many players yet still need more.

Reading various reports that it wasn't beneficial to qualify because of the expenditure percentage rule but surely europa wukd have given them a foundation to build on...or were we just too good for them again and it sort of detracts from how fkn unified weve became as a side.
No.

They would have seen at HT that other games were in the balance and 6th may have got champions league, so they’d have wanted the win for that.

Watched a Chelsea vlog last night and a good few of their fans were saying in the comments "at least we dont have to watch conference league football, I couldn't take that". A case of trying to put a brave face on it.
