Sunday is our biggest game for decades

Because I know what our midweek crowds are like

Has being in the Conference League transformed any club? I want to be in it but there’s a valid argument it’s a poisoned chalice to a degree.
Crystal Palace seem to be doing alright getting into it could be 3 trophies in 2 seasons if they win it

The midweek crowds will be a sell out its Europe man

That old question! Jesus! Do people still not get bored of asking it? Of course it’s our biggest game in decades. It’s hardly surprising it’s our biggest game in decades since every other one going back decades is our biggest game in decades. Every game is important. Nearly every season I’ve supported the club since about 1997 when I would say I officially became a supporter has been a season of struggle and failure. Every season we’ve come up short. So every game we are fighting for our lives to get something from the season. Each individual game represents a step either backwards or forwards to that goal depending on whether we lost or won the game. We are celebrating staying up, but a big step to that was beating West Ham United at home. Had we lost I would have seriously contemplate the prospect of relegation.

Even when we think it might not mean a lot and doesn’t affect the overall outcome, it generally has.

I don't agree to be honest - I'm looking forward to Sunday and don't deny it's a big game but compared to the stomach churning feeling I had last year ahead of the play-off final and it's not even in the same stratosphere. Getting back to the top table is bigger than a shot at the Europa Conference.
This. The consequences of losing that Coventry game and losing the Chelsea game just aren’t comparable in the slightest.

It'll be a tough game. Chelsea will get Europa if they win. It would be our best home result of the season if we beat them.

They’ll come 16th and they’ve still lost all their best players and manager
Lost their best players to the top clubs, as we all will if they do well enough. But in the meantime they have a cup final in Europe to focus on. Football is all about moments to me, Ballard's last minute goal was better than anything I seen in Bruce's 10th place PL season, imagine seeing us play in Europe man, it'd be outstanding.

I never said it wouldn’t be exciting, outstanding or that I don’t want it. I agree it would be all of the above and I want it. I questioned whether it has “transformed” any club that’s played in it. Id argue it hasn’t.

Not necessarily. If they beat us there's still a good chance they'd get conference league and their fans don't seem to fancy that
