Sunday is our biggest game for decades

Last time we were in Europe was 1974.

Sunday is a bigger game than any of the playoffs. This is it. After a decade of despair we are on the verge of European football after only one season back.

I still can't quite believe this is where we are. I can't even talk about it without getting emotional. I'm so proud of this team. I f***ing just love them!
Wycombe was the biggest like. Getting out the swamp was critical.

I really really hope we get into Europe. But I think people need to be realistic and that playing Rjekia or someone on a Thursday night in November isn’t going to be massive.
Your joking right ?, European football for this club, for the first time in 50 years, would be massive. the players we could sign alone, just playing europe could be transformative, look at Villa, if they win that final, they have coming up, it's there first european piece of silverware since 1982.

Now imagine if Palace with the Conference, that's massive for them.

Not read the thread but I reckon the OPs been sniffing the bostik.

You had vastly more important games roughly 12 months ago.

Probably your biggest game this season mind.

I always pictured it being Rangers.
It would be bloody typical if our first European away day in over 50 years was to Wales or Scotland!

Anyone up for Total Network Solutions, or Motherwell?
I think if we do manage to finish 7th, given that now means european qualification it would eclipse our seasons in 99-01 for me. All in all we have the chance to make it our best league season since 1955.
After we got nowt for finishing 7th, Boro got to the UEFA Cup Final after doing so. That's always pissed me off a bit...

It definitely isn't our biggest game. Wycombe was a million times more important in the context of turning the club around.

Nowhere near man. Weve had cup finals play off finals rewarding us with 200 plus millio. Etc . It will be great to win amd cant wait but not even close to our biggest game
I disagree

In terms of being able to kick on further than we ever have done before, this is massive

Before the play offs last year i was resigned to being relegated again (how wrong i was)

This could be the catalyst for more

SCR does concern me mind
Wait until our first game in Europe is Newcastle away in the Conference League.
30% of the ground anarl

Nah, last season's play off final was still bigger imo. If we don't qualify for Europe we'll probably be in the mix again next season.

If we had lost to Sheffield United, I think the struggle of promotion could have went on for years. Just look at how Shef United did themselves this season.

It will be. Our first season in Europe, in alot of our fanbase's lifetime....oh, it will be bouncing.

It doesn't matter if its, The New Saints or Dundee to me, it's what it leads to, the likes of Fiorentina, along the road and if palace win it, they are in the Europa League, that's massive for a club like them, it would be the same for ourselves.

Why will it not be massive ?
Because I know what our midweek crowds are like

Has being in the Conference League transformed any club? I want to be in it but there’s a valid argument it’s a poisoned chalice to a degree.

The first one will be for sure. And if we progressed it would be.
