Southampton spying compendium thread

I think they’ll have to made an example of.

It’s like those sentences during the riots.

Leanne’s bouncy castles getting 2 years for moving a wheelie bin.

When they started dishing out those punishments it all stopped.

If not it’s gonna set a precedent and it’s a free for all for 200m jackpot.

I can’t get my head round this argument that Boro didn’t play very well so the punishment shouldn’t be harsh.

It will be impossible to quantify the true impact this has had on Boro and their players. Also you really expecting Southampton to be caught spying and then choose to turn up and batter Boro? Everyone knows how that would look.

Boro’s entire game prep will have been disadvantaged less than 72 hours before the game. Does the manager rip up his plan and start again? Does he need to create new set piece routines? How does he manage get round the fact that his opponents knew one of their best players was still out injured.
However I made a valid argument for a less harsh punishment because Boro don’t have trees at their training ground. What self respecting club is treeless in this day and age?

Yet when man city in 2014 and chelsea cheated more recently they just got a fine. You cant have severe penalties for one form of cheating and minor penalties for another kind of cheating (which will have had a far greater impact on results).
Man City and Chelsea were charged by the Premier League were they not? two different bodies with different rules and punishments it’s like comparing a sentence from America to those in the UK.

Also they were charged with very different breaches so again you can’t compare them. It’s a stand alone charge that no club have been charged with since the new updated rules have been formed. This is the case that any future spy issues that RFL find themselves in will go back to so a fine will open the flood gates.

Sky are saying a decision by Tuesday and possible chance of the match being delayed which means Wembley may not be available. If it ends up Hull and Boro then surely a northern stadium has to be used, yes they’ll get 15k less tickets but both average attendances would just about fit in our Stadium and it means they’d not need hotels just travel. EFL would probably have it at Cardiff though just to sell as many tickets as possible.

95 pages about something that doesn’t involve us as a club , is that a record on here ?
Its is yes but if you care to read it you read the same bastard points 100 times 😂:

Spying would be no help anyway.
Can points deductions be carried to the prem.
Clubs dont really practice owt.
Are there fences/signs up there?
Its a hotel on public land (wtf 😂).

I think it’s mad that after 94 pages there are some posters that still don’t understand that there’s an EFL regulation which prohibits observing, or attempting to observe another clubs training session 72 hours prior to kickoff

Southampton had a lad there recording the training session. We know he works for Southampton because he’s pictured among Tonda Eckert’s staff. The info they might or might not have gotten from it is completely irrelevant to the argument

Fuck me. What part of this is difficult to understand?
He was there. No evidence of it being recorded yet.
