Wait until the club announce the process to issue the refund as it says I suppose.

It's really shit for Hull supporters as they're innocent in this so loads will already have snapped up bookings/travel etc. As will Southampton fans, thought some will know they could be booted before the final so they're possibly taking a small risk. As for Boro, it could all be last minute rush to get sorted if they get hoyed back into the mix and the final isn't delayed.

He's a Southampton 1st team analysis employee (albeit an intern) and he's been caught there within 3 days of the game. I can see Southampton being booted and I'd agree as it's the act that is breaking the rules, even if they didn't gain owt from it like some claim.

They don't need to wait to look at owt else from other clubs if it can't be shown as more evidence now. They can look at that after and just add more punishment such as points deduction if it's more teams they've done it to.
 
If Southampton went up,apparently because they’re still in the championship then if there was a points deduction it wouldn’t active until they’re back in the championship ( what I’ve read )
So shirley give it to Hull City as a shorter trip 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
 
Reading loads of hull fans have paid for non refundable travel for Wembley. So if the final is moved they are not only inconvenienced by not knowing who their opposition later than the other two teams, they will be likely massively outnumbered if they play boro as I suspect many wont be able to afford to attend.

If Southampton's penalty is severe (i.e. kicked out the play offs) due to them spying on more than one team im really not sure boro should be reinstated. Only truly fair resolution imo would be to promote hull.

If, as usual, the winner gives the loser the gate receipts hull should have plenty coin either way to help those fans effected.

Aye cancel the playoff final then sky sue them for the money they'll lose by not having one of the most watched games of the football calendar.

Matches get cancelled due to weather every season, not that unfathomable that sometimes fans are left out of pocket.

Southampton have to be kicked out, 100%. Middlesbrough in the final would be the option that suits most parties.

Im sure they can put on a few buses for them. But why should the club be out of pocket for whats happened?

They dont have to be kicked out 100% at all. In fact if its just this one instance they are found guilty of spying expulsion would be way ott. And I have no doubt efl will demand a game is played. But if its moved I dont think its fair on hull at all.
 
I think it’s mad that after 94 pages there are some posters that still don’t understand that there’s an EFL regulation which prohibits observing, or attempting to observe another clubs training session 72 hours prior to kickoff

Southampton had a lad there recording the training session. We know he works for Southampton because he’s pictured among Tonda Eckert’s staff. The info they might or might not have gotten from it is completely irrelevant to the argument

It’s like those sentences during the riots.

Leanne’s bouncy castles getting 2 years for moving a wheelie bin.

When they started dishing out those punishments it all stopped.

If not it’s gonna set a precedent and it’s a free for all for 200m jackpot.

Yet when man city in 2014 and chelsea cheated more recently they just got a fine. You cant have severe penalties for one form of cheating and minor penalties for another kind of cheating (which will have had a far greater impact on results).

I can’t get my head round this argument that Boro didn’t play very well so the punishment shouldn’t be harsh.

It will be impossible to quantify the true impact this has had on Boro and their players. Also you really expecting Southampton to be caught spying and then choose to turn up and batter Boro? Everyone knows how that would look.

Boro’s entire game prep will have been disadvantaged less than 72 hours before the game. Does the manager rip up his plan and start again? Does he need to create new set piece routines? How does he manage get round the fact that his opponents knew one of their best players was still out injured.
