Latest boxing crack

If that was setup for Dubois then he should fire his manager/match maker.
He gains nothing from winning and could end up losing or/and taking punishment at the same time.
Going to completely disagree, think if you were managing or promoting Dubois I think it's the perfect next fight for him in terms of a risk/reward ratio. Think he walks through this version of Wilder with few issues and would get paid very well for it.

Unless a rematch then Itauma is ranked 1 with WBO.

Warren adamant he fights for title this year ( whether too soon or not 🤷‍♂️ )

Maybe a voluntary and then Dubois v Itauma

Fair play to Dubois when his career ends this is the fight people will remember.

For those criticising Foster, wardley still had power, never took a knee and he had his own corner amd doctor that should have stopped him from himself

Think foster took criticism for;
Taking him to the doctor twice rather that using instinct.
Watching him wander and stumble to a neutral corner after his break in round.
Watching him be dead on his feet and appearing knocked out.
Having a drenched shirt potentially more than he has ever had in his career.

Just because hardly had a good record of wins whilst under pressure doesn’t mean he deserved a flogging to near death.
As said though corner were equally to blame.
The Usyk hype is embarrassing, all the casuals think they have to say he's class to watch, when if they had a choice they would choose the following over Usyk...

Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Derick Chisora, Deshawn Dubois, Lennox Lewis, David Hayes, Evander Holyfield, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Leon Spinks, Muhammad Ali.

Usyk is definitely not contender for greatest heavyweight or pound for pound like so many say, he's entered the division at the perfect time.

Fury was shot to bits after mental health issues and drug issues (Fury would have beaten him in his prime).

Joshua was well past his best and mentally shot also, he would have knocked him out of the ring like he did to Klitschko, in his prime.

Chisora in my opinion beat him and was robbed, Usyk struggled with his size.

Dubois was hard done by and had him TKO'd but the ref gave Usyk all the time in the world to recover on some low blow bull crap where Usyk has his belt riding high.

Even in the cruisers, Tony Bellew was ahead on the scorecard by 2 of 3 judges when he got KO'd.

Na, I won't have it, Usyk is totally overrated by casuals in terms of him being one of the greatest of all time. As a boxer myself I can see exactly what he does to manipulate refs, using his extensive amateur career tactics. Watch how he'll throw a quick flurry of punches after he gets caught or right before the bell, these punches are ineffective but fool refs and cause doubt in their minds as to how to score the round.

Him being champion is terrible for the division, just like the Klitschko's were, who practically destroyed boxing for over 10 years with their boring styles that nobody watched.

Calling people “casuals” doesn’t underline your opinion is right.
Say it as many times you like didn’t make you right.
I personally don’t like Uysk but he beats oeople who is out in front of him.
It quite easy for people to scoff champions in all eras. Most champions get this tag pit on them when the shine in their division.
Both fury and Joshua you could argue were in their peak/prime in their careers.

Try not to lord it over people mate. There are some people on this thread who are extremely educated on boxing and I don’t consider myself one of them.

Yep it was his indecisiveness more than anything that he deserves criticism for. Think it might have been towards the end of round 9 when he was looking very closely at Wardley looking like he was looking for an excuse to stop it, he then spent a good portion of the minute between rounds in the corner taking another close look at him and then called the doctor to take a look at the start of the next round.

He obviously knew deep down that it needed to be stopped but he wanted everyone else to make the decision for him. Not sure if the criticism he's received previously for stopping fights too early was weighing on him but last night was too far at the other end of the scale and it was total negligence on his part.

I agree with all of that but also think the corner should have been taking that decision out of Fosters hands.

Oh aye they were absolutely the biggest culprits of all. If the Board of Control were a serious organisation then everybody in that corner would be getting their licenses suspended for allowing that to go on for as long as they did.

Thoughts
That saved Dubs career, showed some balls and backed himself
Wardley is a comeback fighter but never been hit as often or as hard. He's had three wars in a row now, that comes at a cost.
Howard Foster is a shit ref. He just is.
Ben Davison should be ashamed of himself, he's not just there to give him a drink between rounds. He's there to protect his fighter.

Watching Usyk is like watching Messi play footy
I liken it more to watching Pep’s Barcelona. In complete control at all times with frequent flashes of brilliance.

I loved watching that team. I had huge admiration for how hard it is to completely and utterly dominate a game of football the way they could. There’s a lot of people that found them boring and thought they completely killed the game as a spectacle.

Yep Usyks footwork is his main tool. Listen to people who have fought him to explain that he is just relentless making you work and moving in and out of your range and then just tires them down while working a plan out to take you out . People said he was brilliant but could never do it at heavyweight against the big boys who in turn then slapped Joshua and Fury TWICE each

Usually Howard Foster stops it too soon, last night he done more to try kill Wardley than Dubois.

I saw a few say "Wardley expected to come out boxing", but Dubois literally dog walked him with the jab, Fab dropped him with the first big right he threw and decided "thats all folks", hail mary every attempt he could. If he started to throw the jab when he had a working right eye and nose, it could have been a lot more competitive.

Wardley's lack of anything other than that big right was shocking, his corner wants a reshuffle. You don't want to nullify his style but get him to be more multifaceted and he will be beat Dubois in a rematch. Should've been counter puncher after that 3rd round.

Dubois deserves all the credit in the world though, he was class.

If no rematch, give us Itauma.
