Great game in my view
We are much tighter with him in the back 4
In particular his 2nd half performance and link up play with Xhaka was top notch
Criminal if we let him go ( albeit he might wish to I suppose ). Having Hume and o9 picked ahead of him must be galling
IMO our best back 4 would be
Gerty, Nordi, Omar and Reinildo even if Ballard is fit

Agree. I don't think Ballard weakens that back 4 if he came into the centre but he also doesn't improve it. It's good quality depth imo.

Be disappointing to see him slip through our fingers and start elsewhere for the sake of game time.

In the laziest of lazy story’s , the bloke next to me rolled out the old “he’s been shagging such and such’s daughter so they’ve not played him” rumour, “such and such” because he couldn’t actually come up with anyone’s name he just said “a higher ups daughter”

Also told me Regis is “1000% leaving” and the club is 100% up for sale

Tried to make it credible by telling me that his mate, who can get away tickets and is now a reform councillor, told him.

What’s the matter with people ffs
 
Hopefully we can get down to some talking with the player reconcile any problems and talk it through. I remember when gibbs white was all set for spurs last season and at the 11 th hour signed a extended contract at forest. Be a shame to miss out on the lad as I think he'll go somewhere else and be a success

He's on 26 appearances now...and I mentioned it in another thread that Le Bris had said in a press conference weeks ago that there's an automatic clause where we have to buy him on x appearances. Maybe that number is 30, and the games are being managed because the player/club are weighting his options?

I think the attitude thing people are speculating about is a non issue - he appears to be a good pro and well integrated with the squad.

I agree. When Ballard plays the opposition let him get the ball and allow him to try and play his way out but it never goes anywhere apart from sideways. With Geertruida, we looked so much more of a threat and progressed up the pitch quicker. Far more comfortable on the ball.

I said I wasn’t fussed if he signed as I don’t think he’s played enough. That said, the way he’s played vs the mags and yesterday is giving me second thoughts.

I do think he’s had a few bad performances as well. But maybe the Liverpool thing played a part in that.

He’s only started 45% of games.

Which for him probably isn’t enough to justify the move and probably for the club.

I think if he plays similar and starts next two games things might change.
