Geertruida

Probs cost us a few quid, he’s a good player but obvs ain’t staying. Pointless playing him now
9 points, Europe and a lot of money at stake between finishing 15th and 6th.

Lots still to play for he's a good player that Reg has had a weird block on not playing him.

I'd rather have the best XI out he did really well in his actual position RB against the Mags. I'd rather him than Hume their for last 3 now Nordi will have to play CB.

Can we please resist the temptation of replacing Ballard with Onien and give this bloke a chance. Was awesome against Newcastle then hasn’t featured much. 3 tough games to finish the season and we could do with a positive finish.
Mukiele back in the middle and let him come into either right back or midfield nxt to Granit.
I forgot about him tbh.

Clearly talented and worth keeping but not surprised 1 little bit that he's out of favor after his agent was pushing a move in Jan.

The clubs shown time and time again that people who aren't 100% committed or think they're worth more than the club rates them then they won't be pandered too.

Wyke, Stewart, Neil, Cirkin to name a few (rumours obviously)

How Hume gets in the team over this guy is baffling. My suspicion is growing that RLB might have a bit of the "control freak" to his personality and if you stray from his song sheet even a little you don't get picked.
Very strange how he doesn’t get much game time, as said he was excellent against the mags
Baffling, I'd say.

There's a clause in his contract that triggers after x amount of appearances. Reggie confirmed it.
That’s the reason he hasn’t been playing it’s been obvious for a while now. Why would you play a current Dutch int and a player wanted by teams like Liverpool behind the likes of onien etc that’s no slight on Luke but Haway man the blokes regularly played champions league etc.

And I completely get your point too about him not being in future plans. But we’re in the here and now, so just play your best team. If there was a young’un he was keeping out the team we wanted to try for a few games, then absolutely don’t play him but that isn’t the case.

I fear its attitude related (pure guesswork from me) mainly based on the above.
That is my thought (on the attitude comment) about Gerty.
Not that I know of course….simply my impression.

The lad must be ( perplexed to say the least ) to see the likes of o9 and Hume in the starting 11 before him
Quality and experience wise they aren’t fit to lace his boots

He played well against the mags
His best game imo was away to Bournemouth albeit the cross for their goal came in from his side.

Every other time i’ve seen him he’s been 4 or 5 out of 10. He lacks concentration and courage

He was already struggling for game time prior to the Jan window.
Must have been some frank conversations

Because we played Tommy Watson and Jobe knowing they were leaving in the summer
It’s clear the deal has an appearance trigger.

has to be an appearance clause / obligation to buy thing in the deal.

Can't see any other reason

He'll go to a top club though in the summer

Weird the head coach might want players doing as he says rather than as they please?
