Burnley Forum

Plenty people on here laughing at Leeds when they signed DCL but he turned out to be a great signing .

Could have gone either way that signing. Even Leeds fans weren't that convinced.

With his injury record and what people said about his attitude those wages on a crocked player could have easily have been a tremendous waste of money.

But with hindsight those 11 goals look bloody marvellous - but as someone on the thread said - if we'd have signed him I'd have been expecting the inevitable season ending injury around Xmas.

I like Burnley me, hope they come straight back up again. Would of been class if us, Leeds and Burnley stayed up and sent 3 more established teams down

Wonder what they do with Parker as even if they come straight back up they'll get relegated again with him in charge
Can see them keeping him on but getting rid after two months when they're not doing too well.

I have nothing against Burnley at all, they have slotted in as the example yo-yo club so have constant premier league or parachute money and with that stay above many bigger clubs.

Buts thats the problem once in Premier League. They are, with respect, a relatively small club and unlike the other smaller clubs they dont have a recruitment strategy like Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth.

To cap it all off, in Scott Parker they have the classic yo-yo manager too.

I dont think the Championship is as strong at the top this season as it was previous seasons so theres a good chance they will be up there again.
