The end of todays game

Flashbacks to Millwall away under Mowbray but on a worse scale. About to win it to then lose it.

Worst feeling after a game since Luton 3 years ago at least.
Losing a game in the Premier League that could have taken us into the European places? Does not compare to losing games in League bloody One.

Difference is that previous seasons last minute reversals like this were keeping us out of autos, out of playoffs or sending us down.

While a last minute winner 60 seconds after we miss a chance to take 3 points will always sting, I actually enjoyed watching this game. I felt very relaxed as for once we are safe with games to spare and playing a team no-one expects us to beat away from home.

We missed a 1 on 1 with a minute left to go 4-3 up. Of course you can make a case we arguably could’ve won it. It’s literally facts
They missed about 5 glorious chances and absolutely dominated the game for 85 minutes. We didn’t deserve to be in it at all. What you get and what you deserve are not always the same but they were so far better than us we were lucky to get away with a 1 goal defeat tbh

Who mentioned league one?

And its arguably more gutting because its close to actually achieving something.

Another who can't grasp what I'm saying

I said last night that even a defeat has us still in the chase because of the other results. But to go from Diarra 1 on 1 with 6th in your grasp to then 11th. Its a sickener

It was absolutely brutal and I was a mess straight after. If that happened away to Burnley i'd have been sick for ages. It was eventual Europa League winners and CL team Villa though.

Just in terms of being gutted after a game. Since that Luton play off we haven't had any big disappointments. It reminded me of the Millwall game that ended similar.

Seems like people have took it as the worst i've felt about the club in years for some strange reason. Don't get it.

Defeats at home to Fulham and Brighton, Burnley away were all worse because we should have done better. Even West Ham and Brentford away. That isn't today - being gutted is down to the manner.

Not sure why anyone would think what you're suggesting in the second paragraph. That again is something different.

Gutted. MOTD will be a belter that I can’t bring myself to watch.
I watched the highlights and that was enough for me. I live 250 miles away and even after a drink thought f it I'm going to the gym for a swim to clear my head (Probably not the best idea) Was in the steam room and some lad clocked my SAFC swim shorts and he was from castletown so that was it we were chatting about the match again!

Apparently I mustn't have been there in league one based on my op. Bizarre reactions.

Get what you're saying about west ham etc but I think with this being an unlikely result and the chance to go 6th. It felt like a huge opportunity missed. Thats what felt bad I think

I would have probably felt better if the game had finished 3-1.

But to pull it back to 3-3 and have a great chance to win only to lose anyway in the last few minutes feels like a big blow.

But i expect us to bounce back on Friday night and we'll all be buzzing again.

Dominated the game for 85 minutes, wtaf 🤔.
Not even the match stats back you up.
As for glorious chances, don't recall them missing any sitters whatesover🤔

Yeah, people just fly off the rails and make things up to suit their agenda unfortunately.

Think about Coventry 3-0 last season and compare that to today.

You
Not true at all, just because I think O'nien isn't good enough?

I've defended the owner on here for years against abuse, same with Speakman. I said we would translate well to the PL under RLB and his style. I've sung the players of the recruitment team. I thought we would get something from the game today and have in nearly every game this season except probably arsenal and city away. I was defending the manager loads recently when we dipped and people wanted him out after port vale.

It really isn't true and judgements are clouded because I think O'Nien is a bombscare in the PL. Everything about the club is the best i've seen it.

Even this thread has been hijacked as me being negative and angry... the only thing im saying is it feels like the Millwall game when we missed a last minute 1 on 1 and they went and won it.

Yet its turned into pages of abuse.

Mate, help me with what is odd?

I'm literally just posting that its very similar to the Millwall game that was a sucker punch and left me gutted.
You definitely had a meltdown before the match on the match day thread against the Mags when the team news came out mind.

We were having a discussion on the way down. The only defeat that pisses me off was Burnley away. I’ll be over the result (if not the manner of it) tomorrow, but Burnley away still irks me.

It's football. Events can frustrate and upset sometimes. Imagine if that were a final-day game where a win would keep you up. We gained and then lost a point. This will be the third-best season since 1956. After the immediate disappointment, a sense of perspective and pride is my take.

Not as big as the one I had when o'nien passed the ball to woltemade from the goal kick

Lets be honest though - 90% of those pre match knew O'nien would either get sent off, give away a penalty or cost us a goal, we all said it.
