The end of todays game

Mowbrays last game.

it was 1-1 and Aleksic clean through on goal in the last minute, he missed and they broke and scored.

Bit similar to today but for some reason I'm getting abuse
Was that not 1-1 in the end? Been to last 4 Millwall games and in my head they were all 1-1?

Not for me or all the other Sunderland fans I've spoke to tonight. The general consensus was that it was a kick in the balls as all last minute defeats are however you can't fault the attitude of the players and you have to admire the way we matched them for most of the game
We need to cut out our sloppiness that’s costing us goals

You are right actuslly I think

Maybe it was to wrap it up and we got caught up frield

We were really poor in that 1-1 like. But I remember watching that Aleksic game, think that was under Le Bris? 1-0 up and Aleksic missed (much harder chance than today) and they went up the other end and scored.

Oh come on, we have had WAY worse days than this

Losing to 10 man Shrewsbury
'The King' scoring a hat trick for Lincoln at the SOL

This was a brilliant game and we are competing against teams in European semis
I'm not angry at all. Just gutted. They deserved to win and are a very good team, but certain games sometimes the best team doesn't win and we fought back class and could/should have won it 4 3. a massive missed opportunity but it's a learning curve. What a finish to the match though. Great advert for football. Emotional rollercoaster

I’m purely disappointed that we never got the absolute pandemonium that would have followed should diarra had scored

Aye I know it would have been off the scale but we've had a few good ones recently and potentially another away win (or two) still to come..

Would have been up their with the brobbster at the mags if Diarra had slotted home like

Gutted. MOTD will be a belter that I can’t bring myself to watch.

5 to go. Beat Forest, wolves & Everton. If someone offered me the chance to go into the final day against Chelsea with a chance of Europe I’d take it.

Here’s hoping.

That's it like. Even an outside chance will make it a class day. Knowing we need to beat them and other results go our way? Id take that now
Same. I was hoping we might see the stadium like it was earlier in the season, especially for the United and Chelsea games. But it seems to be flat now that we are clearly at the level and not underdogs.

I don’t think it feels anywhere near either of those like. We’ve played the best Villa side for 30 years and arguably should’ve beaten them.
I’m sorry but no chance did we deserve anything at all. Onien fucks up for 4 goals - you cannot make any case for deserving a point even. Would have been robbery tbf.

We missed a 1 on 1 with a minute left to go 4-3 up. Of course you can make a case we arguably could’ve won it. It’s literally facts

Nah, if we’re still in the hunt post Wolves & Forest it’ll be bouncing like.

I'm still on the train home and it's the least upset I've ever been about a defeat.

Funny the different way people react

I thought it was a class game, and the fact that we were within a fanny hair of winning makes me happy .

I've seen us lose away at Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Wycombe , Lincoln... I'm not gonna give a shit about this result
i appreciate the sentiment, but i do care about the final result. we done the hard work and should have held on for at least a draw.
