Best mates with Mayenda, played a part getting Angulo to sign with us and he’s learning his trade as Xhaka’s understudy. The reality is that he’ll move on eventually, but hopefully that isn’t going to be for another year or two.

It’s very noticeable how chilled and happy our players are during a game, compared to e.g. mags and spuds recently.

We’ve already seen links for,

Roefs - Chelsea
Sadiki - Man Utd, Chelsea
Brobbey - Bayern Munich
Diarra - Saudi League
Xhaka - Juventus

As you say they won’t be the last this summer. So far the approach seems to be one big sale per summer and unless we get hugely inflated offers I can’t see that changing.

I think of the current first team squad Roefs and Isidor will go.
 
Without xhaka alongside him he looks the same as most other midfielders in prem a bit hit and miss.

If i were chelsea or man utd id be whacking a 40mill offer in for xhaka and take it from there. He's world class

Xhaka to Juve is a bit of worry. They’re gunna spend big this summer apparently. Also think he’s the only one irreplaceable. The others have a value where it becomes good business.
 
I wouldn't join Chelsea if I were any young player. It is just a soap opera with haphazard recruitment and managers never last a full season. Far better off gaining experience for season or two and then moving to an elite club.
If anyone does want to go, then sure we won't stand in their way and will have replacements in mind. The only player who is essential is Xhaka. I doubt that many others will want to leave, tbh.

If we lose Sadiki we'll lose him to a big club, and big clubs pays big fees. I think €80m (about £69m) is realistic based on the caliber of players that go for in and around that figure. Here are some deals involving Premier League teams;

Kai Havertz - €100m (and €77m 3 years later)
Antony - €95m
Josep Gvardiol - €90m
Frenkie De Jong - €86m
Darwin Nunez - €85m
Jayden Sancho - €85m
Wesley Fofana - €81m

Jhon Duran - €77m
Benjamin Sesko - €76m

If we have to sell, we'll be selling some of this season's top performing Premier League players. There aren't many Roefs and Sadiki's in world football.

If you spend £50m on a proven Premier League player, you're looking at the likes of Strand Larsen, Wissa, Jacob Murphy, Elanga etc. It's a bonkers market and we're playing with a great hand.

It intrigues me how Chelsea, with all their financial ills and record losses are still able to compete at the higher end of the transfer market 🤷‍♂️

Man U will be after him if they don't get Baleba, I reckon. Brighton were asking for £100m last summer.

I think the reasons for him wanting to sign for us last summer probably exclude moving the Juventus tbh
