Arthur Avom Ebong next in

Xhaka is looking worth every penny we paid for him. He would be hard for nearly every premier league team to replace him, you just cant go out and buy another Xhaka as he is one of the best in the world in his position.
I mean you need someone as backup to him.

Somebody earlier referred to the time and composure Xhaka seems to have on the ball. All the great players have that - they are just so aware of the situation around them and usually two steps ahead.

We almost need a different way of playing without Xhaka imo. When he's on the pitch he's on the ball by far the most, he often completes more passes than everyone else even attempts, it's gonna be very hard to find someone that integral who'll come to sit on the bench.

Well, that's the thing isn't it? could we afford another Xhaka?...I wouldn't think so, but who knows what cards KLD and Gisholfi have up their sleeves.

I think getting another DCM is a lot easier than rethinking the way we play mind. Xhaka will likely still be our best player next season, so a player who can step in and take some of the load off would be massively beneficial.

Not sure if Regis is the type to change a style of play if Xhaka was to be out neither.

Indeed sir, posted this yesterday

Fits the bill perfectly. A rest age and a free transfer too. We could give him the next 12 months to settle in, grow with the club, play a few games and be an option from the bench and have him ready to go straight into the first 11 when we inevitably lose Sadiki.

Fair enough, but to suggest we've had Dortmund's pants down, which ive seen plenty, in swapping him for Diarra appears a bit premature.
Aye, that's a fairer comparison. I think we got the right price for him but wish we'd been able to hold out for more, I suspect his name will see him sell for 100m eventually.

It'll be interesting to see how his career goes, but I can't think of a player the age he was with us being so influential over a season or three seasons for that matter.

If I had to pick one player we could have kept last season, it would have been him, easily.

Not to worry, like you say, we got better for less in Noah.
I think £30m was slightly inflated but he’ll be worth it now, or in a year. He’s a good player and they paid an inflated sum to ensure they signed a good player with good potential

I didnt think it was, I thought 12 months in the premiership with everything not going to shit would see him double that.

Not complaining about the price mind, nout to complain about nowadays.

Edit: the tickets, there's still that.
