Arthur Avom Ebong next in

We will do, but assuming Traore, Geerty, Isidor leave, there are 4 spots available for none HG (I have probably forgot loads of players)

Robin Roefs
Melker Elborg
Reinildo Mandava
Trai Hume
Nordi Mukiele
Omar Alderete
Noah Sadiki
Habib Diarra
Granit Xhaka
Enzo Le Fée
Nilson Angulo
Jocelin Ta Bi
Brian Brobbey

Potentially leaving:
Bertrand Traoré
Lutsharel Geertruida
Wilson Isidor

potentially in:
Arthur Avom

U21
Chemsdine Talbi
Eliezer Mayenda
Think Ta Bi still counts as u21 since he turned 21 this calendar year.

Geertruida I think we’d like to keep, but the whole Liverpool business might have turned his head.

I mustn’t be in the same page as everyone with Traore. Le Bris clearly thinks a lot of him, so it’s down to injuries. Do they think if they extend his contract by a year they’ll keep him fit? Even if he’s not first choice, he’d play a part given injuries & would 100% be a player who’d Le Bris would trust to come off the bench. On Sunday we named 8 subs & it would have been a huge surprise if 6 of them got on the field. Dan Neil was another example of that. I think we also played £3m for him? Would we try & not eek a bit of value out of that fee?

He was born 9th of Feb 2005, and I think the cut off is 1 Jan 2005. So, he will have to be registered.

Depressing that someone born in 2005 is old enough to play professional football. He never even had to live through the horror of the milenium bug!
I might be being dumb, apologies if so, but surely it's people born before 1st Jan 2005 that need to be registered? People born after are younger?

😂 in my defrnce, it is early and I haven't drank coffee yet

I think he was looking a player before he got injured and if he hadn't picked up another niggle he would be in with a great shout of a new contract.

I think he will struggle now. For me, I would blow next seasons budget on a Xhaka like player, a striker to replace Isidor and the best winger I could get. That doesn't leave room and he is the easiest to cut, and the oldest.

I definitely wouldn't be disapointed if he stayed.

...and I have already proved I am an idiot with my lack of understanding of how dates work.

I was sure Martin O’Neil signed Danny Graham and Jack Rodwell saying they were both sought after at the time.
clearly no connection between Graham and Rodwell.
We are in good hands with full of connection, work well as a team that fight to stay up.

Seems a good player to bring in. We need more quality options from the bench for rotation and injuries/suspensions. The lad looks to have the work rate which is needed for this league and is only young.

I think we'd still need some proper cover/competition for Xhaka mind.

We almost need a different way of playing without Xhaka imo. When he's on the pitch he's on the ball by far the most, he often completes more passes than everyone else even attempts, it's gonna be very hard to find someone that integral who'll come to sit on the bench.

Thought about this the other day. Can’t wait for him to come back in, but it’s a worry how much we rely on him. Somebody needs to step up when he’s not here.

Will we have one more season of him at his best? Age will catch up with him at some point.

It’s not just the way we play it is also the presence, the technical skill, reading of the game, organising team mates
I’m not bashing Hume but for him to be the one to fill the boots and wear armband in Xhakas stead is taking the pish!
Yes we need a different way of playing
We offered nothing for the almost 80 minutes Xhaka didn’t play v PV
It’s a recurring disturbing theme sadly
RLB has a coaching cast of thousands and yet we are a shambles when Xhaka isnt on the park

Tbh I don't think Xhaka made a difference at Port Vale, the biggest difference was putting Ballard up front for 5 minutes, we probably should have done it for half an hour. That was a different type of game.

Don't think we win the Leeds game without Xhaka mind. It's just the poise he has on the ball, seems to have longer than everyone else, and he seems to find the simple pass to safety when it's needed.

Xhaka barely had time to influence the game on Sunday.
Wilson should have been brought on earlier.
Basically it should have been a load of changes at half time to shit them up, but it didn't happen

We do desperately need to bring in a number 6

Can’t be relying on Xhaka to dictate the play all of the time.
Xhaka is looking worth every penny we paid for him. He would be hard for nearly every premier league team to replace him, you just cant go out and buy another Xhaka as he is one of the best in the world in his position.
