Seems like everyone wants us to win on Sunday

Yeah. See I don’t hang round with bellend ones, we’re just decent lads, football fans, they support them, I and a few others support us, in unison we all want spurs down.
Embarrassing that.

Any SAFC fan who would ever want the mags to win isn’t a proper one. And vice versa.

“Oh but I’m just more *decent*”

Get fucked. Fuck the mags
In which case wanting Sunderland to beat Spurs will have no bearing on our ability to qualify anyway.
If you hope we win then I hope we get beat

Amazing how a group of supporters who actively cheer the Saudi states actions as long as they buy them a few players suddenly become all reasonable and friendly whilst we have the bragging rights isn’t it

Sunderland win is all that really matters. Everything else is collateral damage. If Spurs go down they go down - their own fault and their problem - same for whoever drops if it’s not Spurs. Don’t really care as long as it’s not us although were it the Saudis dropping l would be particularly delighted.

Only way Is want the mags to win is if it benefitted us. Like say we needed them to beat Man City so we could win the league (not gonna happen so probably never be in this situation tbf). Prob still feel uneasy about it.

Results fall nicely for us today we’ll be 4 points off 7th with a game in hand.

This isn’t a mid table meaningless set of matches. It’s qualifying for European football. Of which the last time we managed was 10 years before I was born.

Let’s put it this way, would you prefer to be sitting in Porto on a sunny Thursday night watching Sunderland, like Forest have just had the pleasure of doing, or would you prefer to be celebrating Tottenham playing a midweek match vs Lincoln?
I’d like both, there’s still plenty of games left in the season almost 20%

Much being made of De Zerbi’s slow impact at Brighton and his preference for attacking football. He seems pretty intelligent though and knows they need results quick. He isn’t going to have them trying to implement his style in the short term.

He will have them up for this and I expect it to be a very tough game for us. I, of course, want us to win but can see this being similar to the Fulham game. 1-3.

I'd sacrifice a mid-table place or two this season to watch Spurs go down, not only because it would be very funny, I think it genuinely would benefit SAFC.

Spurs have such a high ceiling, and could (like United this year) easily bounce back after one competent summer. I want them out of the way for a couple of seasons. One less competitor in the transfer pool too.

Without trying to sound complacent (we might struggle next season) I'd feel confident of staying up and pushing on with Coventry, Ipswich, Millwall, Forest, West Ham, Leeds all in the league.
